2 More seasons at a cap hit of 1.5 mil
33GP 0G 2A 2P -6
The two assists are both secondary assists and both came against the Rags in the same game. Besides this game, almost every other game ended in a balanced +/- night, he had eight -1 games in the 33 games where his groin wasn't acting up (circumcision may help ease the weight on his groin).
But, this is BGL, he's here for the fighting, enforcing and to scare others, not to lead the team in scoring.

Montreal had been running up the score at 4-0 early in the second by the time this fight broke out. 3 of Montreal's 4 goals had been on the PP. The game ended in a 5-1 win.
Something you will notice is that BGL never fought in the 3rd period last season, this could be because he's not used as often during the third and the instigator rule for the last five minutes of the game.
Also of note, he had fought only once when the opposition was winning and once when the Habs were winning.
Most of his fights don't seem to have any impact on a Habs win and most of the time, the opposition scores first whether he won a fight or not.
He hadn't gotten into any fights after a dirty hit made by the opposing players, but not for a lack of trying, his invitations were never accepted.
We can talk about the intangibles of his play all day, I'm just presenting you with another edition of my off season In Depth look at a Hab.
