Just happy that some of the guys have the integrity to join their fellow Olympians at the Closing Ceremonies.

Most of all I am happy for the young timers in our great nation because they are what all of this is about. : )

He scored one goal and zero assists in six games playing top 6 minutes. Hardly deserving of a roster spot given that display..

It's too bad all the people that could really run the Habs are busy doing talk radio, writing blogs or posting on message boards.

Now, Lajoie is an imbecile, a cretin and a plagiarist, who to use author Dany Laferrière's deliciously withering expression, "lives beyond his intellectual means."

If you look at his placement in the team photo, one might think he was instrumental in the gold medal win....

Very little impact on next contract - if he wouldn't of been selected maybe.

Aside from Pietrangelo, all were older. Pietrangelo played above Subban because he was part of a pair and Hitch's influence.

If the game is at a frenzied pace and you want improvisation, PK will make things happen. If you want controlled zone by zone AP is impressive . Playing behind Weber,Doughty and Pietrangelo is hardly a slap in the face

Playing behind Vlasic and dressing behind Hamhuis certainly is. Keith was shit this tourney, why coudln't Subban get some PP time and Hamhuis scratched was beyond me.

They're both ld. He wasn't behind them. You can argue the 7th choice but I can see the preference for a left shot as #7.

Yupt. There's two types of defencemen now, and which side a player is comfortable with is a euphemism for which side you fit into Hockey Canada's symmetry obsession. Kids breaking into the league playing defence would be well served to practice playing left-handed to better make outlet passes parallel to the boards, screw up poke-checks, get hemmed into your own end, and accidentally clear pucks over the glass because you have to fucking backhand it.
