WORLD JUNIORS FUCK!

Post #1 by chiclet » Tue Dec 02, 2014 11:01 pm

Little bit slow on this this year everyone! Can you guys (and CG) get some rosters posted? Dev Camps? Will McDavid be ready? Who is in net? Are we doing some draughts? Well? See you soon! Go, Canada, Go!

Chicpea, Canada only invited 2 goalies to the selection camp, so no mysteries there. McDavid is very likely to play. Lazar, Horvat, Duclair (I'm missing someone) may or may not be loaned by their NHL teams.

I can do the US and Canada camp rosters - other than that, I'm lost.

Fucale has his moments, but why Tristan Jarry isn't there is a mystery to me. At least have some competition.

Also, on the US side, I'm surprised Justin Bailey wasn't named to the camp roster. As a Rangers fan, I'm disappointed for him. As a Canadian, I'm very glad he's not going to be there to tear it up.

Russia didn't invite Scherbak to their camp. So either they must have a damned fine squad or their coach hates Scherbak for some reason, because the guy looks pretty good.

Thought that, but apparantly something like 4 or 5 lesser Russians playing in NA have been invited to their camp, so it seems like there might be something personal there.

Julius Honka, Dallas Stars First Round Selection in 2014, has been tapped to lead the Finnish Defence.
Honka is currently skating with the Texas Stars of the AHL, and is undecided as to whether or not he will join his countrymates in Toronto-Montreal.

So, with Lazar on the team:

Lazar, Domi, McDavid, Duclair, Reinhart, Petan are your locks up front

on D

Nurse, Morrissey, Hicketts are locked in.

I'd say Ritchie, Gauthier, Fabbri, Virtanen, Point, Paul make the team

Fleury, Bowey, Heathrington, and Morin/Theodore on D.

I think they like Paul-Gauthier-Ritchie as their fourth line

I want Dal Colle on the team in the worst way, but I have a feeling the top being heavy doesn't leave him much room.

I think Ritchie is more of a bubble player than most, if for no other reason than his likelihood of taking a stupid, selfish penalty at the worst possible moment. Good player but the intelligence fairy missed his house.
