ISIS took over that strategic hill again. Planted the flag then got rocked. You can see some in the picture wandering around.

It's become too symbolic for both sides. Hopefully Peshmerga inject some life into the battle.

ISIS lost their best elite Chechen brigade and their own kurds directing the battle. Their reinforcements are morality police from Raqqa and conscripts with no training.

I think Bashar knows his time is up, wanting to "study" the Aleppo proposal. The rhetoric is pointing to taking out their air assets at the very least. It just seems morally fucked up doing it because of ISIS, and not because he is slaughtering his own people. I wonder if this new strategy is because the nuke talks are going a certain way.

Didn't ISIS just execute two Nusra fighters? I think it's probably BS. With the new audio from Baghdadi, something that large would likely be addressed in it.

I'm really worried the Republicans feel they have a mandate to overcompensate for Obama's dithering. McCain looks like a starving dog in front of a piece of steak.

Mr. Obama told reporters Sunday following the conclusion of the forum, “And one of those principles is that you don’t invade other countries for finance proxies and support them in ways that break up the country. At this point the sanctions that we have in place are biting plenty good."

Surely someone called out how hypocritical this is yes?

Is Iran's 'Dark Knight' supporting the nuclear talks?

Soleimani’s role has been so prominent that, according to Iran’s former ambassador to the United Nations, Sadeq Kharrazi, US Secretary of State John Kerry has called for a meeting with him.

And apparently ISIS is attacking Kobane from the TURKISH side of the border. Multiple confirmations from Kurdish sources and reputable journos. No idea what to make of that yet. Seem likely it was a suicide car bombing meant to send the Kurds into a frenzy. A hail mary op while they're daily losing ground in the city.

Shit, nah, ISIS launched a full scale counteroffensive on kobane from within Turkish territory. This is disastrous.

It just seems too devious. On a lighter note, whats with the mustaches on the Kurds? I don't get it.

Yeah, apparently it all originated on a Alplatform message board. Highly unlikely due to the fact both sides usually keep quiet during a hostage scenario.

Drones, Italian ATR 72's and US P-3 Orion's all spotted over Benghazi recently. Looks like the something is up.

Completely agree. I wonder what IS has in store for the American female. NY Times writers says Somali women are being trained to behead so it's girl on girl. I certainly hope not.
