Looks like you were right. YPG/etc sources deny it and say she is in Cizre.

Too late for that. Once you're flagged, you can't get unflagged. Just try not to get Maher Arar'd.

Has anyone ever shown any racism to you while you've been on a plane (honest question)?

Aren't there likely other sub conflicts you're not aware of too?

If there are 5 distinct groups should be easy enough to pick one and back them all the way.

Abadi: Americans told me their presence in Iraq is not to oppose Iran, told me they are prepared to coordinate with them.

Probably are already. They can't conduct airstrikes in Iraq without us knowing and coordinating.

Yeah, both sides want stability and have to realize that can't happen without both being deeply intrenched.

You've got to think that the Iranians would love to go back to 2011 and allow the Iraqis to extend the status of forces agreement with the Americans.

“I think the worst moment in U.S. foreign policy since I’ve been here, as far as signaling to the world where we were as a nation, was August a year ago when we had a 10-hour operation that was getting ready to take place in Syria but it didn’t happen,”

The raid was the third failed rescue attempt of an American hostage in five months and followed a Nov. 25 mission that was unsuccessful because Somers had been moved before U.S. commandos arrived.

In that raid, U.S. commandos and Yemeni troops swooped before dawn into a cave in the eastern province of Hadramout and freed eight people.

Seven of the eight turned out to be al Qaeda members who had been held captive by the militants on suspicion of being government spies, two senior Yemeni officials told Reuters. The eighth was a Yemeni computer specialist, they said.

Apparently, the South African hostage also killed in the raid was to be released today. The muricans really put their citizen -who apparently was to be executed- first and put the "almost free" South African in grave danger in attempting the raid.

I think you've got to make the effort, given that they didn't know there was a soon-to-be-released hostage there, and they thought they had a reasonable chance of success.

Iran launched five airstrikes in the vicinity of Samarra. Must have been dire.

Good read with some interesting quotes.

Tamimis a fanboy himself and only came out and denied it because who the hell woul admit it. He's in no position to pass such judgement. He should have left this one alone.

I say his back because Mehdi is now a fugitive. Both the Bangalore City Crime Branch and Indian national intelligence officials are after him. “We are tracking down the man,” the Bangalore Police Commissioner said.
