TK is starting off the season in style, I think everybody assumes he will break 30 goals this year but I genuinely wonder if he can chase 40.

Working away, but man, those TK goals, great snipe and then that 4v4 rush. I still feel like 40 is high because he won't get the PP goals, but he really does have potential to be one of the higher-end ES goalscorers in the league.

I took the afternoon to watch. I'm trying to get back in shape so been working out while watching until the 3rd. Solid goals, Crawford looks shaky.

How did Hagg make this roster?

Not sure if we'll win the Cup or only the East, might need another game or two.

He reminds me of Jeff Skinner in a way.

Of course, I'm also a moron.

Was at the game and it was a ton of fun. Of course winning helps, but holy smokes that snipe from Konecny. Raffl getting a goal was also fun for me personally.

Unfortunately the travel around the game sucked hard for me, primarily because my phone just decided that it was time to thrown down the oppressive shackles of SIM cards, which almost left me stranded, but that is too long to get into now.

I'm glad you both had fun, and got to see a Flyers' win in person. It always makes the effort worthwhile.

Chaos, I've had that happen to me a number of times in a number of different countries, and it is not a good feeling. It's like being naked, only decidedly worse. If you don't mind me asking (I think you're from Austria, if not please correct me), how'd you manage the language barrier?

It wasn't all that difficult. A large number of people in Prague speak english, particulary if they're younger. I didn't talk to a lot of people anyway because this was a very short trip for only the game. I've been to Prague a couple of times before though and you can get around pretty easily.

Glad both of you had fun.

Out of curiosity, did you SIM card die or your phone die? I would think a good way around this is find a WiFi connection and use wifi calling outside your cell provider. This is why it's a good idea to always have something like a Google number as a backup. Not trying to play Captain Hindsight here, just legit curious how things like this are handled. When my kids get old enough I'd like to start traveling more. Having never left North America, Europe is obviously on the list.

It was definitely the phone, because when I got back home I tried the SIM card in another phone I still had lying around and it worked fine. I was also able to fix my phone again, but it required a factory reset to do so. I was just really taken by surprise by it because last time I traveled abroad everything was fine. If you travel from north america I would consider buying a traveler's sim card for the country you're going to. I didn't do that because 1) I spent less than 24 hours in the czech republic and 2) usually I wouldn't need it as I would just eat the EU internal minimal roaming fee and general either try to connect via free wifi and keep my actual phone usage to a minimum. In all I really only needed to make a single phone call while in the czech republic, but because my phone was on the fritz I had to borrow one from a friendly coffee shop employee.

Yeah when I travel I definitely plan to go to Verizon and get squared away before I traveled.

I did have a SIM card die randomly and it totally fucked my phone up. I mean just about nothing worked. So whatever it did it messed up all communications. Went to Verizon and they swapped out the cards and it fixed everything.

But yeah, just bad luck, especially for such a short trip.

Don't really like Hayes at 1C and Myers in the AHL. I guess this is kind of annoying AV decisions we should expect.

Giroux, Hayes and Voracek are all pass first players.makes for a shitty PP unit too. Sanheim not being on PP2 is stupid too.

Yeah I know, just confused by some of choices. Lindblom-Couturier-Konecny line is dominating though, maybe it makes sense to keep them together as PP unit while they're clicking. 2nd unit looks decent for once, but still think Sanheim should be there over Niskanen.

I like what I've seen from Braun so far. He's faster and more agile than I expected.

I actually kind of like Braun more than I thought I would so far, nice assist on Twar’s goal. They were unlucky not to win, first 2 periods were relatively even, maybe slight edge to Canucks, but Flyers completely dominated the 3rd.

Nothing wrong with going on the road and getting what is essentially a tie, especially when it seems like they played well. Keep this up and we might actually have a good team on our hands

Based on the condensed game it felt like momentum slowly shifted to the Flyers as the game went on.

I went back to watch the two goals against and the first in retrospect I can't blame on Braun. He was left to defend to guys 5 feet away from our own net. The second one while it was a nice tip, Hart didn't see a damn thing because of Braun screening him.
