For sure a lot of their prices have gone up with their special or limited brews, but as long as I have a bit of wiggle room I pick up a bottle or two if it catches my eye. It was $13 a bottle where I found it.

I'll take a good novelty beer over a stock IPA any day of the week provided it's a stout or porter.

Nickel Brook. I've never heard of them until I saw this bottle in the shop, but I'm impressed. I'm sure we could find something cheaper out there that's comparable, but everyone is so caught up in the IPA craze it makes a good porter/stout that much more lovely.

They're one of the larger craft brewers in Ontario. They make a decent Bourbon barrel stout called Kentucky bastard.
