Breaking Bad is fucking epic ... I've never gotten into Saul, but have heard people like it (certainly has good characters/acting). I just was kind of done with that "universe." The final few episodes of Breaking Bad are a clinic in how to end a series, too. You will not be disappointed if you follow it to the end.

Better Call Saul is really fucking good. You see the evolution of Saul Goodman. I am all caught up.
for those who are watching the show. How he worked that older woman. My God, that was low. But it is just a warmup for Breaking Bad.

I am in season 3 of Breaking Bad. Just watched the episode where Hank beats the snot out of Jesse and then has the confrontation with those 2 brothers at the end of the episode.

By the end of Season 1, Bosch was in my Top 10 current shows. And it's continued, each season has been really well put together. I can't recommend it enough.

yup. I love that show. In season 3 now.

Breaking Bad was good, and one of the better endings, but I think its way overrated. Not in my top 20.

Bosch is definitely on the list, but still catching up on alot of other stuff. Still rewatching the old Twin Peaks, gotta watch the new series, and then Turn starts tomorrow. Plus way behind on Saul

Any of you all have a Chromebook? Would you recommend it over Windows 10? Considering getting one based on the really low price.

Yeah, I have one that I use exclusively for the internet and to connect to the TV. No complaints, but definitely haven't done any heavy computing or anything like that on it.

The one slight drawback is that a number of streaming sites (Fox Sports Go, NBCSN, NHL.TV, etc.) don't support the Chrome OS. I just use a Chromecast for the TV anyways, but if you plan on streaming sports on it, maybe just something to consider.

Haven't used Windows 10 too much so can't really compare from personal experience, I'm sure it's a much more comprehensive OS, just depends what you need.

There is considerable truth to this. We also have a 5 month old little girl (excellent sleeper). Reality is, however, that what is normal with regard to sleep goes out the window with Day 1. But now we've lost the advantage of possessing a societally accepted baby prison. I had to refortify a portion of the house to keep him from gaining complete freedom in the middle of the night.

So last Monday, I hit a massive pothole on my morning commute. After I hit it, wheel survived, but about 20 cars were pulled over to the side of the road with a few cops, all with tires blown out from the pothole. Got to work and realized I had a 3 inch bubble on my right front tire's sidewall. So I blew it out partly. $900 later, I have 4 new tires on my car (Tires were 60,000 mile tires and I was at 54,000 miles. So I figured it was best to just change them all).

And that, my friends, is why you always have an emergency fund saved away on standby.

Above all, I was just curious how a pothole managed to get that big in the middle of the summer to where it became such a huge problem for the morning commute.

I wonder if the municipality has any liability to all of the car owners. Have you researched that at all?

I hit a pothole (aka crater) near Yards that totaled my fucking car. And the hoops you would have to jump through to get any compensation from the city are slim to no chance in hell for them to fork over any cash.

We were driving down the sideroad looking for a parking spot and went into a crater of a pothole. It was enough to engage the airbags and setbelts. So I guess the insurance company decided it was cheaper to total it out than replace all that. It was a nasty pothole.

I fucking hate municipalities that don't keep up with road maintenance. I just got a new car and spent over $2K for the rim/wheel protection package up to 75K miles because I know I'll ruin a wheel or two because of shit government.

living in New Hampshire we have some pretty big pot holes and frost heaves that are bad enough where you have to slow down to 5 mph to avoid ripping out your exhaust. but I don't think I have ever heard of a total. that does suck.

While the whole ordeal was scary at the time (I was driving and every airbag on the drivers side blew except the wheel) and also a pain the ass to deal with getting a new car and what not it was actually a blessing. It was my former step-father's POS civic and I wanted nothing more than to be rid of the car and I got paid out far more than what I could have gotten if I sold it myself.

This was a state road. While I'm still confused how the pothole got that had in fucking July, Chris Christie royally raped our transportation fund.

Also, I contemplated filling with the state. But it happened a week before vacation (here now) and I figured the odds of getting rejected were high so it wasn't worth it.

It's great, I like to read the WSJ's op-eds for the same reason. In the last week, they've had: 1) The real scandal is still [something about Hillary or emails or both] and 2) Look at this scandal involving a former Democratic staffer! (involves $500K in bank fraud or something).

Somebody (Nate Silver?) has hypothesized that the reason that DJT's approval ratings are still high among Repubs is because a lot of former Repubs are disgusted by what's happened and no longer identify as Republican. No idea if that's true, but it'd be comforting.

I know a few, but more so who left because of the direction over the last several years more than DJT. But, I think he may have been a last straw for many.

GOP identification has been on a general decline for years, do it would be difficult to isolate on a Trump effect without specific polling. Dems haven't really been growing, but holding steady, while Independents surge. Independents, however, tend to be partisan in their voting.

So, I would assume that movement in favorables with GOP/Dem Id'd voters would move very slowly. And, really, it's only been 6 months.

When all was said and done with those movies I wish they would have just left it as the first movie.
