Saw Mastodon and Primus play in Asbury Park on Friday. Holy shit, one of the best shows I've ever been to.

I saw them in Lewiston about a week ago. As big a fan of Mastodon as I am, All Them Witches won the night. They were so, so, so fun to see in a mellow, totally serene kind of way.

I wanted to go to the Primus show at Penns Landing, but we saw the Dead twice last week.

Sadly I missed them. Doors were at 5 and I figured they would come on at 7. Apparently Asbury Park is ultra strict about noise past 10PM. So my buddy and I got dinner around the corner outside around 6. By the time we finished our beer and dinner, and got into the venue, as we're walking in Mastodon was already a minute into their set.

I would have given them an honest shot. I've gone to shows and been blown away by openers before. 3 comes to mind when I saw them open for Porcupine Tree about a decade ago.

Never really into Godzilla movies and I don't have hope for the plot in a lot of movies anymore, but the CGI looks incredible.

I guess I should mention this here as I talked about this previously, even though I am really late. The Philadelphia Fusion finished as runner up in the Grand Finals of the first season of the Overwatch League.

I feel like I may be the only person that enjoyed the last Godzilla movie.

I enjoyed it for what it was, and it got reasonably good reviews. So, not alone.

Yea, I liked it too. But I also love all of them (and also Pacific Rim). But not the Matthew Broderick one.

Not so secretly developing a crush on Melissa Etheridge after watching the music video "Come to My Window" for the first time, and third time in a row, tonight.

I think I need more beer. Or less. But probably more.

American football apparently has a new album coming out in March. Can't wait to see them live again.

If I ever needed a good excuse to go to Chicago again, this would be a very good one:

Seeing Ghost again would be pretty, pretty cool. I give you that one, JL.

Honestly I haven't listened to them nearly enough. I feel like that's a band that once I saw them live my interest in them would jump dramatically.

I'd love to see Meshuggah and System of a Down live. Gojira was great when I saw them live. Tool is fucking amazing, goes without saying.
