Bobby Ryan broke his finger so I figured I'd toss him on the 30 day IR. I mean, you need that thing to shoot and pass. Then you remember a healthy hand didn't help him a whole lot in that department this year. Because he's a pile of shit. Then he gets activated and plays 3 days after you IR him. Hat trick incoming.

Gaudreau was supposed to be out for more than a month. Now he's sitting on my IR for another three fucking weeks. I hate our goddamn IR rules.

I got so drunk this weekend I can't remember a few roster moves it took for me to get Toews on the squad besides releasing Stastny...lol

That's the spirit!

Someone tell me when my team got so remarkably awful. I know I've got a couple guys on the decline on there, but jesus

Also, I made a trade, and it was relatively painless. Anything for more talent. I feel like Tavares could be slowly trending down while Galchenyuk could be slowly trending up. Hate the loss of shots, but TK makes it OK.

made a trade as well.
poked around for some more offensive talent up front but have come up empty so far. still can make a last minute deal if folks are around in the late morning.
I still don't have a Flyer regular on my roster.
might be the reason why I am doing well ;)

I like that trade for you. It's a step back in the short term, but that's irrelevant for where you are.

Thanks, man. I thought the same thing...kinda surprised Flyers traded Klingberg. I'da jumped on that had he mentioned he was open to it.

In other news, though, I'm really hoping we're about to see the first ever team name trade between vb and gfh.

kind of wished I added some depth at forward at the deadline.
having Spooner and Turris go down right after the deadline was bad timing. But its my own fault. I waited to long to start thinking about it.
Turris may be a short term thing hopefully.

I think at least part of his motivation for moving klingberg was knowing that he had a deal for trouba lined up

I realized after that deal that I only have 3 D prospects left in my whole system. Sanheim better live up to the hype!

5. Rangers 215 pts
6. Devils 214 pts
7. Avs 213 pts

Rangers is rolling me so hard that I'm pretty sure I won't even be able to get into the playoffs if I go 10-0 next week.

Excellent. Luongo and Lundqvist both just got hurt on me right after the trade/sign deadline. Perfect timing. I'm relying on a Maple Leaf and an undrafted rookie rolling into the playoffs.

Top 6 teams make it, top 2 get a bye week. Really hoping to hang on to my #2 spot so that I can get that week off for a goalie to get healthy.

Oh, so I'm in the last spot. My team is so inconsistent I'll get bounced fairly easily if I hang on.

Had too many guys playing last night and had to leave one on the bench. Naturally, he goes off for a goal and 3 assists.

I am pretty sure I lead the league in shutouts left on the bench. I know what you mean.
its great when that happens and the rest of your skaters don't do squat and you lose your matchup because of that one move.

yeah I can agree with this. it really put some teams in a bind.
also would like to see about adding a cat or 2 to the matchups. like shorthanded points and or game winning goals.

I'm personally not so high on the infrequent stats like that (would maybe prefer hits or blocked shots or faceoff wins or something you can predict better), but I'm all for adding a non-goalie stat or two

Re: Flyers Broads Fantasy Hockey Thread

Posted: Sat Apr 08, 2017 5:45 pm

Yeah, I think 1 or 2 need to be added to even it out a touch.

hits is a random thing too because not every arena tracks hits the same way. I really don't like that stat in fantasy.
we have PP points, we cant have short handed points? would rather have short handed points over hits or block shots. would be ok with faceoff wins.

Re: Flyers Broads Fantasy Hockey Thread

Short handed points are like shutouts - you get lucky enough to get one, you probably win the week. I don't like stats like that

Re: Flyers Broads Fantasy Hockey Thread

by GoneFullHextall
probably, but they are still a scoring stat. the only non scoring stat I really don't mind is faceoff wins. Never been a fan of blocks and hits. stats that aren't tracked the same everywhere should not be part of fantasy matchups.

thanks.
goaltending definitely carried me in the championship matchup. SOG got a little close and I don't know if I would of won had Flyers come back and won that cat and it ended 5-5.

What's the tiebreaker for situations like that? I'd assume a shots competition broadcast on facebook live between the two contenders.

Re: Flyers Broads Fantasy Hockey Thread

I really don't know what the tiebreaker was. Goals ended up 16-16. Flyers won the assists cat and I easily won the goaltending stats, so I don't know what the tiebreakers were.
