Really? I've seen like 4 mice in Montreal myself, all on the metro tracks. Do you call them tracks with your weird wheeled subways?

Sheesh, you crush a couple of skulls and people just assume the worst.

I’m talking about why setting them free in a field isn’t preferable to crushing their skulls.

why would you do that. i'm on team craig on this one. kill the mice as quickly as possible and hope more don't follow it.

My Mom was the kindest person I've ever known. She stopped that kindness when it came to mice and selected critters. They had to die.

When we have mouse issues, we can hear them behind a wall in our living room. You can hear the scratching noise. Our cat is a great outside hunter, she'll drop a bird, squirrel or mouse at our feet, but in door, she has no interest. ON the stairs leading into our cellar, there's a bit of a landing, at about eye level, kind of the backside of the stairs leading to the second floor. Perfect place for the mousetrap where our pets can't get near the trap. I have no misgivings.

I had one of my family cats bring us back a live mouse in the house when I was a teen. The same cat would also bring us back some dead birds.

Otherwise, we had squirrels in the attic at my dad's house about 15 years ago. I tell you guys, a hockey stick is quite nice to deal with rodents. Funny thing, one of the squirrel had found a way in the house, and I ended up wrist-shoting it outside through the side door. The little fucker was standing up and battling my hockey stick. Once out, it ran away like the fucking wind. Turns out there was a neighbor's cat waiting for a treat right outside the door.
This whole idea that we are even important is a fucking illusion. We’re just an accident left to our own devices.

Like, it's underground tunnels. Of course there are mice.

Come to think of it, I think I saw a rat in a metro in Montreal. I've never seen a rat in Toronto. Maybe the rat population keep the mice at bay? I assume Toronto has less rats because the raccoons keep them out.

The rats in mtl dont allow much mice i think.

Also, for every 20 or so rats, there's a giant ultra smart one. Special breed that evades traps and rarely gets caught.

I had an exterminator give me a run down of montreal rat demographics.

Along with luck the key to small dogs is having a mix of poodle, pugs, or shih tzu, etc. They’ll have all the loving characteristics of a pug without the eternal pain, and with the intelligence of the other breeds. The personality in these mixes are equalled or surpassed by few others. : )

My dog is a mix of Jack Russell and Border collie. She often catch squirrels by being faster and more agile than them. She actually run with the grayhounds and makes flips. She's what you'd call a super athlete.
