Ds Grandma, who recently died at 104, hated Mitsumi. A very sweet woman, not a bad word to say about anyone, except MT

Rise from the Ashes wrote:McCarron is not nearly physical enough to be like Lucic. That said, once he gets skating, he is very fast and difficult to stop. If a teammate hits him with a pass in the slot while he is in full motion he often scores. As I said in another thread, IN A PERFECT WORLD, his highest upside would be a cross between Bickell, Nash, and Corey Perry.

I see him being closest to Bickell, but with slightly better skating and passing, with a worse shot.

It took Bickell six years after he was drafted to make the NHL full-time. I can see McCarron making it by age 21 or 22 if he continues to improve at this rate.

The consensus on McCarron was that he had skill and hockey sense, but his puck skills and overall ability to keep up with the play was an issue. He body is well developed because the program he was part of had a lot less games than the CHL (or leagues modeled after it). The main reasons the Habs wanted him to join London were: 1. the increase in actual HOCKEY games he would play and 2. the fact that by playing in all these games he would learn the game a lot more.

From what I saw during last years pre-season I was very impressed.

Regarding Andrighetto: I am very high on this guy. I think with good linemates he possibly has 30 goal potential. Also, at 5'10-5'11 and 186 pounds, he is STOCKY and has a great centre of gravity. He gets in on the forecheck and uses his body to separate players from the puck. Will he ever be someone who goes to the blue paint? I dont think so. That said, his skill off the rush is impressive.

The worst kind of fan is 'they are wrong if they don't do what I say' guy. His overbearing sense of his own rightness sucks the enjoyment out of talking sports. In a bar, on the radio , on a website, same thing.

They've been around forever and they never catch on to how desperately people try to avoid them

The never catching onto how desperately people try to avoid them is part of why they're such cunts.

They're oblivious cunts.

He cut him relatively early to avoid any controversy within the locker room.

You want to shelter a player: you have his competition drop out early and you have that player ride the pine so that you hide his deficiencies. That's how guys get cut ALL the time at ALL levels of sports. And others make teams when they shouldn't. Nothing new there.
