Let's see what's happening over there during the dog days of summer, fellas:

What's the significance of your profile picture?

Also, let's keep this thread about Galchenyuk's on-ice performance, development and value and NOT bring in his personal life or race.

Hockey IQ is IQ.

"ability to read plays, process what is happening and quickly take optimal decision"

There is no such thing as a person who is hockey smart and not overall smart.

There is no reason to assume that McDavid could have been a great mathematician or musician or both.

People think of intelligence as one single talent, when actually it is a combination of things. Cliff Claven was trivia smart, but pretty dumb overall. Norm was beer smart, but pretty dumb overall. Ted Danson smart in womanizing but pretty dumb overall. You can be street smart, book smart, a quick learner, good at strategy games but not real-time or vice versa...
There is such a thing as hockey IQ. Not every Cornell graduate sees the ice better than a Minnesota Duluth graduate.

I was merely saying the term is empty. You can be more descriptive in what you are trying to describe. Vision. Anticipation. Strategic approach to the game. Are we just talking about the "mental" aspects of the game or also motor coordination and execution? Calling it "IQ" makes it sound like it's a thing in of itself, whereas some will have good vision but poor decision making. Some will make good decisions but aren't "ahead" of the play. Some will anticipate well, but not make the best decisions after. etc.

I just said "hockey IQ" is an empty term. Talk about the players attributes in a bit more detail.

100% agreed with this.

Years ago vision and hockey IQ were two different things, now people talk as if players with offensive vision (most likely in specific situations) have high hockey IQ overall.

Yeah. Why use one or two words that everyone understands translates the entire concept. Instead, lets expand it into a long descriptive detailed narrative.

But seriously, I’m pretty confident about that whole “infinite potentiality by definition needs to separate itself to realize itself in concrete experience and that concrete experience will be lesser and included in the whole from which it came”. But also without concrete actualization, infinite potentiality is non existent. They need and feed off each other -the duality that explains existence and non existence. I’m pretty sure I figured out the universe, you guise are just idiots.

Hello HF Habs,

This post is being made to inform everyone here that posts about being pro-tanking will not be permitted on this forum.

While we do understand that some people may want the team to lose in order to get a draft pick, please understand that most posters coming to this forum are here to cheer on their favourite hockey team, and posts that are hoping for the Habs to lose can be seen as trolling the vast majority of the fanbase.
This has been discussed at length with the moderators and administrators of this site, and is not something that is up for debate. Consider this post your first warning, and any please note that there may be additional repercussions if you're unable to adhere to this rule.

Thank you,
HF Habs staff

A smart mod would make a pro-tank thread and move all the pro tank posts there

Then he or she would make a pro-winning thread and keep all those posts there.

Then he or she would make an offtopic thread for fun.

Then he or she would merge a bunch of posts.

Then he or she would tell edgarbox that he had been shadowbanned by the admins.
