I'm ok, I actually flipped a kayak last week and learned that there is yet another life situation I'm ill equipped to handle. Luckily someone who reminded me of Jesse Jim from the Beachcombers happened by and retrieved the boat while I made my way to shore.

I'm kayaking in a couple of weeks for the first time. I could use a Jesse Jim.

I hadn't visited my bro in a while, and he'd bought a cabin north of Brandon, Manitoba. He and his wife started kayaking, and last FRiday, I used his, more a broad flat bottom, he used his wife's more traditional. I liked it and thought it might be a nice hobby, but I wanted to go again. I tried hers, much harder to control, plus the water was rougher. I thought I'd go out myself, give that one a quick spin, see what it was like. I was doing ok but I over compensated and did a flip, 360 for me, 180 for the kayak. My brother was yelling instructions and telling me to come in and leave the boat. I actually came up with my cap and glasses still on. I tried to hook the boat with the paddle but I would've drifted farther from shore. Then young bro and Jesse Jim retrieved the boat and I started dog paddling with 1 hand. It was about 12 deg. out, but I never noticed the cold.

I'd imagine that since it's trendy right now, a lot of clowns go too far without much experience. It was funny, I took in a lot of water when I flipped, and Don was yelling stuff and I couldn't answer. Every time I tried to yell back, I started choking. I'm vaguely considering a pedal boat at the moment.

101 days since I had Bell's Palsy now.

I have had 100 straight days with a work out, "No Days Off" - Bill Belichick and I have changed my diet.
I have lost 32 pounds
I have lost 7 inches on my waist
I am down 1.5 inches on my collar size.
I am down from a XXL shirt, almost to L.
I am under 7 for my A1C.
I have more energy and my dong seems bigger.

I have 30 more pounds (at least) to go by Christmas.

Day 101 starts tomorrow.

I just had the strangest experience. A door to door solicitor came around, ignore the "no solicitors" sign on my front door, and when we didn't answer the doorbell or her knocks, proceeded to just open the door and walk right in. Then she argued with my wife that it was OK, because our door wasn't locked.

This. And, more importantly, please tell me you’re not one of those people with a “no solicitor” sign on his front door because they believe it means anything.

Dog, those signs work. Professional solicitors (which is like, 95% of them these days) are contractually obligated to obey those signs.

I never lock our door. 25 years and I just got a key recently. Someone walks in though and they'd be leaving quickly.

Really? I know you live in the boons, but you never get someone going door to door for some charity? It happens like, 20 times a year in Toronto.

I just answer and say not interested and close the door.

Yeah, I prefer Murph's method to ruining my door with an ugly sticker.

I didn't ask. Almost certainly campaigning for a charity though, nobody ever comes around to sell stuff other than every now and again some asshole tries to convince me my hot water tank is a rental so they can sell me a new one.

we seldom get anyone anymore. There's a particular chaiy that comes by because D has always supported them. Local kids selling for school fundraisers, I always help them out, but the only one selling seems to be wholesale meat guys. They're usually pretty funny, and usually insulting when things don't go their way. After I turned one guy down :

You think it's smart to pay retail ?
So, if I decide to fill a freezer, I'll go, 'hey hon', let's call that guy who said we're stupid' ? " Now get moving.

I don't consider trick or treaters solicitors. One of them asked me what a solicitor was last year though.

The most Greg thing ever would be if he stabbed the solicitor with a Japanese knife and then carved her up and dehydrated the remains.

But he'd never tell us that story.

I guess he'd also have to take the dehydrated remains on a hike and feed them to the animals to get rid of the evidence.
