It's too bad all the people that could really run the Habs are busy doing talk radio, writing blogs or posting on message boards.

Now, Lajoie is an imbecile, a cretin and a plagiarist, who to use author Dany Laferrière's deliciously withering expression, "lives beyond his intellectual means."

My 15 years old nephew is going to spend the week-end with me, i'm going to show him movies. I want to stay in the normie space as i don't know how open minded he is, so i thought about watching Fight club, Pulp fiction and Idiocracy. Do you have a better idea? My favorite would be to show him The seven samurais, but a black and white Japanese movie from the 50' would make him hate me forever.

Instead of watching silly movies, why not take some time together and write your own short play. After you have completed the text, you can take some felt and cardboard and string and make figurines of all the characters in your play and a stage on which they can perform. Again all this you can do together. When this is complete, you can set up your video cameras and film the production and then, this is the best part: sit down and watch the labour of your hard work and love...together.

Now that's a weekend together.

As a professional Classicist myself, I intentionally dropped that reference to Abelard and Heloise (Yes, I stooped just this once to Mediaeval Latin) as performed in Spike Jonez' unforgettable Being John Malkovich, a reference I thought you would have perceived had you been a real filmmaker.

Those all sound great to me, but I remember being 15, and it's not like everyone that age loved certain stuff. Do you have any hints what sort of stuff he might like? Like some kids would love equilibrium, some would love dogma.

Either way, show him memento.

When I was 15 I loved Clerks, Baraka, Matrix, The Wall, Délicatessen and Cité des Enfants Perdus, Apocalypse Now and Platoon. I also really liked to smoke pot, which I'm sure will be a great way for you and the young, impressionable lad to bond.

Have 15 movies.

Be prepared to stop them twelve minutes in.

When he latches onto summat, you'll know.

Fincher's great for teens (I fuuuuucking loved The Game). Spring Breakers. Kevin Smith works always. Show him some Ahnald, man.

He’s proposing to “expand his (young and impressionable) mind” by showing him crappy pseudo-deep movies and then telling him stories about how he himself is a filmmaker and telling him about his work....

Just googled “early 90s movies” to see what kinda crap I was into and from the list comes “a few good mens”, “shawshank redemption”, “goodfellows”, “forest gump”, “pulp fiction”, “groundhog day”, “schindler’s list”...

You now know what not to show him now, mustafa!

When I tried to connect with my stonerhead 15ish year old nephew a while back we went to see a fast and furious installement at the movies (his choice, was fine/funny) and then I introduced him to Top Gun, I think it was. A few years down the road, he’s coming this afternoon with his girlfriend to play board games. He likes board games now.

All I can think of when I read AD is Taylor Hall's atrocious Subway commercial and subsequent Tweet. #ad

A few years ago, I tried to connect with my 15-year-old junkie nephew. I took him to a small theatre on the South Side that only plays the movie Risky Business. It was a bustling crowd and people were very anxious before the film started. My nephew was sweating very badly so I jacked him with a spike I had in my satchel. He ate so much popcorn he threw up on my shoes. When the famous scene came with Rob Moore sliding into the living room with his sun shades on, everybody cheered frenetically. Everybody except my nephew, for he was dead.

What did you give him from your satchel?
