Based on recent convos I've had with various NHL sources, there's inccreasing belief around league that Marc Bergevin will "listen to" offers on #CareyPrice in offseason. Not sure how it relates to Geoff Molson's vote of confidence for his GM, but just passing along. #Habs

It's too bad all the people that could really run the Habs are busy doing talk radio, writing blogs or posting on message boards.

Now, Lajoie is an imbecile, a cretin and a plagiarist, who to use author Dany Laferrière's deliciously withering expression, "lives beyond his intellectual means."

MB reportedly tried to trade one or both of Galchenyuk and Pacioretty to the Wild at trade deadline. Settled on Reilly at the time. Belief is that talks could resume after the playoffs.

Regarding Patch.

Bergevin asked for Toffoli and Vilardi from the kings.

Coyle + from the Wild

Trotcheck from the Panthers.

That's not me talking.

Philly needs more scoring than just the big line.

Pacioretty for Morgan Frost + St. Louis Blues first.

We’ll either get a very talented and promising 24 year old turd overall or whe’re getting a 34 year old on the decline that currently already produces less than the young guy. Either/or.

Patches, as a main pieces, shouldn’t get us either of those. But Huberdeau is closest in value -we’d need to add a very strong prospect. We have any of those?

Y'all grossly underestimate the value of patches. He had a bad year, but before that was the model of elite, consistent scoring.

In the top somewhat in league goal scoring over last few years. Huberdeau could make sense. Maybe if we add a Juulsen of something. Is Juulsen good? Who needs Dmen when you have wingers anywho.

If by top somewhat you mean top 5 or so in league scoring over a multi year span.

Pretty much all the top scorers in the league, outside of Ovi, aren't able to reproduce their numbers year to year. The 33, 39, 37, 30, 35 goals he scored in back to back years, ignoring the lockout, is incredible. In the last 7 years he's scored more goals than Kessel, Perry, Wheeler or Crosby. In that period he's scored 3 less goals than Kane. Until last year he was like, top 3 or 5 in the league. All while never actually playing with a great setup guy. Simply put, he's been amazing and trading him for anything less than a Kings ransom is stupid. Fuck Steen. Jesus.

By the by, looking up these stats really shows how ridiculously good Ovie is. 306 goals in the last 7 years. Second place has 229, patches 206.

Blame Not, he's the one who posted that shit. :danson:

Clearly St Louis would have to add pieces if Steen is the return, I'm thinking a draft pick or a sold D prospect

The Huberdeau deal is not that far off. Maybe some balancing for age and a C vs W scenario.

OOOH yeah life goes on, long after the thrill of Vinny is gone

It's too bad all the people that could really run the Habs are busy doing talk radio, writing blogs or posting on message boards.

Now, Lajoie is an imbecile, a cretin and a plagiarist, who to use author Dany Laferrière's deliciously withering expression, "lives beyond his intellectual means."

I did! Had seen the same, didn't recall if it was top 4 or 5 or 7 or whatever and didn't feel like having beaker correct me.
