@The_Creasy

Very important meeting being held today by the TOR brass. I have no info as of yet on what it could be about. Just told it’s a ‘big deal’. #Leafs

Now, Lajoie is an imbecile, a cretin and a plagiarist, who to use author Dany Laferrière's deliciously withering expression, "lives beyond his intellectual means."

Pacioretty resterait à MTL. Aurait grandement diminué ses demandes au niveau d’une possible extension de contrat si reste avec #Habs

@The_Creasy

Update on #Leafs meeting today. Big finance meeting was held. To discuss upcoming contracts (Big 3) as well as wanting to fit in another big one ala Panarin or Karlsson.

Selon un sondage lancé à l'interne auprès de mes 127 sources autour de la LNH depuis le repêchage, seuls Brendan Gallagher, Jonathan Drouin et Jesperi Kotkaniemi sont intouchables chez le Canadien.

Heard Hawks in talks with Montreal in last 24 hours. No names mentioned yet.. . . also hearing today, Hawk brass having a hard time agreeing among each other on deals/moves. Holding things up. All for now.

The Chicago Blackhawks are reportedly in trade talks for Max Pacioretty. Other potential landing spots for Pacioretty include the Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers, San Jose Sharks, and New Jersey Devils.

Summer of Poile v3.0...?
This whole idea that we are even important is a fucking illusion. We’re just an accident left to our own devices.

His Stanley Cup will be a Habs-Preds joint venture. We’ll get half the parade!

Dany Dube just confirmed on @le985fm that Toffoli and Vilardi were the 2 players coming to #Habs for Max Pac.

OOOH yeah life goes on, long after the thrill of Vinny is gone

It's too bad all the people that could really run the Habs are busy doing talk radio, writing blogs or posting on message boards.

Now, Lajoie is an imbecile, a cretin and a plagiarist, who to use author Dany Laferrière's deliciously withering expression, "lives beyond his intellectual means."

...as serious as a poutine shortage in Chicoutimi during a curling bonspiel...

That would have been a pretty nice return.

Fucken Max, man. Scuttling his contract negotiations with the kings because he wanted to kill the deal and stay with the habs.

A thought -pure speculative: what if the problem with Max is that it’s been known within the org that he is pissed at his prior contract and asked for assurances (maybe even starting some years ago) that he wanted to be “made whole” in the next contract (like fmv+comp dor prior contract) and that wasn’t given and his agent pressed and it was non commital and he sulked and....he still has this intent to “catch up” for his underpay by wanting “overpay” in his next contract, so the habs won’t talk under that premise...and his asks where simply carried over to his nego with the kings and killed that? I dunno. Seems unlikely to me that a team willing to trade good assets for patch would be unwilling to offer him a fair market value deal. What would scuttle that? More likely over demands by the player. If so, is that why habs won’t discuss extension too. If so, how long have these demands been known by the habs? Has that been a thing souring the relationship for years?

Just a thought.

That would have been a really good trade.

Toffoli would have replaced a good portion of Max's offence, and is much younger.

Villardi is a legit top C prospect

It has been known for years that Max wasn't happy with his last contract and wouldn't do the Habs any favours with this negotiation.
