As me and @TheFourthPeriod leave Vegas and head towards Dallas.....Don’t count the Kings out on Max Pacioretty.

Patch for Bujstad and Brostorm.

Poehling and Kotkaniemi getting their game together while those two hold the fort.

Domi - Brostorm - Gallagher
Scherbak - Bujstad - Drouin
Hudon - Danolt - Lehkonen
Byron - DLR - Shaw

Canadiens an interesting team to watch over next 36-60 hours. Lots of activity on Pacioretty, 3rd overall pick, team wanting a C & a top-3 D, and chatter on Schlemko & Lehkonen. Lots of balls up in the air.

It sorta makes sense, if they're getting Cs somewhere and Patches signs the rumoured extension.

Patches-XXX-Drouin
Domi-XXX-Gally
Hudon-Danault-Scherback

Plus there's still Byron kicking around, who can slot in somewhere if Drouin or Domi are asked to pretend they're Cs.

I'm all for the return of Plekanec, but I suspect he'll be the 4th C if everyone is healthy.

If they hit a home run on a #1 C like Tavares, I'd be pretty alright with Tavares-Danault-Plekanec down the middle, complimented by an above average crop of wingers.

14th overall was obtained by Philadelphia from St.Louis in the Schenn trade. Islanders have 11 and 12.

Martin McGuire said Habs brass have allowed the Kings to talk to Pacioretty about a new contract. If I'm Pacioretty, I'm happy to spend the next 5 years of my life in L.A., playing with "the era of l'Anzé".
