#Habs brass have had numerous teams call in regards to Carey Price. The team that has shown the most interest.... the New York Islanders.

It has been known for years that Max wasn't happy with his last contract and wouldn't do the Habs any favours with this negotiation.

I was saying a little something different. We had heard rumblings that he wasn’t happy, which I never really understood as there was litterally nothing to be done about it (habs couldn’t re-open his contract). So why sulk? Either: he’s just a no professional irrational baby (possible) or there was something more concrete -which was my speculation -that he’s asked for stuff years ago (like assurances/gentlemens agreement of compensating overpayment in next deal) and the habs would not give that (with reason) and he sulked. I can get that he wants a “mark-whole” contract now....but he couldn’t get one years ago, so why was he pissed all this time? Was just speculating in that.

Im not saying hes been sulking or unprofessional about the deal. Im just saying he has made it clear before that he wants max value on the next deal as he feels his current deal is undervalue for what be provides.

Mass is a measure of the amount of matter in an object. Mass is usually measured in grams (g) or kilograms (kg).

Mass measures the quantity of matter regardless of both its location in the universe and the gravitational force applied to it. An object's mass is constant in all circumstances; contrast this with its weight, a force that depends on gravity.

Thus water in any state has mass.

You sir are the dolt.

Anything tangible has a mass.
This whole idea that we are even important is a fucking illusion. We’re just an accident left to our own devices.

You seem to be equating matter in “solid state” to mass. Matter is still matter, regardless of state. It’s all made up of particles in different energy states (ie. the particles in a macroscopic “solid state” move slower than in liquid form than in gaseous form. Phase transition is just a dunction of the energy state of the particles. Mass, in of itself, is an interesting phenomenon. The description MP provided describes macroscopic properties. But the actual quantum mecanics of it are profound. Mass is to be contrasted with energy. The two are convertible into one another (mass is an extraordinary amount of energy intertwined together basically). But it’s more than than, mass, at the quantum level, is an interraction between an eneygy field called the higgs field with other energy fields. When a a specific force vector (called a higgs boson) interracts with other fields (say a fermion field), the particle acquires “mass” which basically means it starts “dragging” space-time with it, creating gravity around it (ie. a dent in space-time). So, that higgs boson is what turns something that has no spatial temporal existence- that can be understood as “movement”, a ripple in a field, into something that starts “existing” in spacetime. That’s quite profound and more than meets the eye. There is no “solid” anywhere if you drill down far enough.

Another interesting tidbit is that “matter” pops into and out of existence by itself in a complete void. So called quantum fluctuations. Out of “nothing” (which is not nothing, its force fields permeating the universe), pops into existance a particle and anti-particle. Basically, things with contrary “spins”. When they meet up again, they annihilate each other. Think of it as waves of opposing amplitudes but at same frequencies -perfectly timed as opposites- meeting each other and “flatening” each other out.

Stuff just pops into existance in space time in pairs of opposite values and only leave when they re-merge. Funny.
