We get dubois and keep subban and #9

I'm not super high on him, but I think he'll be a solid player. I see him as the kind of player you'd like to have in the playoffs. I don't think he'll be over PPG, but he'll bring his fair share of points and intangibles. Maybe a future captain.

60-65 pts goal scoring winger with power to his game. The modern day power forward.

Vanek scored 41 points last year... he was disappointing given his contract, but he wasn't coming off a 6 goal 19 point season like Semin.

Vanek will get more than 1 year 1 million IMO.

I think if we get him thats fine... but not as our only Acquisition. Realistically we need two forwards.

Okposo long term.. .7 million.
Vanek 1 year 3 million.

Dump Eller and Emelin.

I could go for that.

It's too bad all the people that could really run the Habs are busy doing talk radio, writing blogs or posting on message boards.

Now, Lajoie is an imbecile, a cretin and a plagiarist, who to use author Dany Laferrière's deliciously withering expression, "lives beyond his intellectual means."

Bad trade for Ottawa.

More expensive player... older, but not really better, plus they gave up a much better draft pick; and they solved the Rangers cap issues.

I don't get it.

Brassard had a career season last year at 29 based on an unsustainable shooting percentage. If you are banking on him being a 60 point guy again, its not likely.

How's he more expensive? He's making less in real dollars than zibby.

I think Brassard makes the Sens more dangerous next year. He's more dynamic than Z, to me, I can see what Ottawa wants, a twosome with Ryan, but I don't get a picture of where the Rangers are going.
