How in the blue fuck can you compare these guys to some of the best NHL players ?

COMPARE ZADINA TO MATT CALVERT

DAHLIN TO RYAN ELLIS

BOUCHARD TO NISKANEN

AND BRODUS KATTECHUPPÉ TO... oh, that's right -- his motherfucking brother.

I get that it's a playstyle comparison, but I wish people also included a journeyman with a comparable playstyle so we know what to expect when the kid turns out to be shit.

Nikita Scherbak would be Richard Zednik
Ryan Poehling would be Yannick Perreault

And so on.

Both Timmins & MB we're clear that if a player they like starts to slide, they won't hesitate to use their pocket full of 2nd rounders to move up to get them #Habs

if they take Koko B Ware at #3, then I think they go D with the 2nd 1st rounder.

I am fairly confident that they really like Dobson

Dobson wont fall to the point where the habs can use their 2nd rnd picks to snag him. I'm thinking more guys like Hayton, Veleno, Bode Wilde, Akil Thomas ect. who are middle of the pack and can slide.

It's a total crapshoot from #10 to like 40, so I believe many teams picking late 1st and early 2nd will have the impression they got a steal.

I fully expect that with our 35th and 38th pick (if we do keep them).

So our 3rd is just as good as a 10th...

And all of our 2nds don't get us anything better than a late 1st.. which is really like a 2nd.

And the 2nds are like a total waste....

The top defenceman on the Russian team at the recent IIHF Under-18s, Romanov is a very good skating.
