Welcome to Montreal, Pat Verbeek's illegitimate nephew

Post #1 by TittiesNBeer » Sun Mar 25, 2018 12:41 am

From Friedmann https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/31-thoughts-will-calgary-flames-trade-first-round-pick/

4. Pat Verbeek’s nephew, Hayden, is closing in on signing with an NHL team. An undrafted free agent at OHL Sault Ste. Marie, Verbeek scored 30 goals this season — only one of which came on the power play. (Four were shorthanded.) He’s not a big man, but if he’s got the same DNA as his uncle, he’ll give it a good shot.

Awfully small, no offensive output, ballsy... He's Habs material all right.

His Even strength production is good.

He gets zero powerplay time cause the Sault is one of the most stacked teams in the OHL.

He's probably still a long shot to make the NHL, but no more so than other undrafted kids with a few more points, cause their teams give them PP time.

Apparently he was contending to be the best skater in the OHL.

It's too bad all the people that could really run the Habs are busy doing talk radio, writing blogs or posting on message boards.

Now, Lajoie is an imbecile, a cretin and a plagiarist, who to use author Dany Laferrière's deliciously withering expression, "lives beyond his intellectual means."

An offensively-challenged Paul Byron.
