France vs England final

Poor Uruguay, really missed that Cavani-Suarez connection.

Kind of hoping for a new champion, so go Belgium or Sweden. Russia is just too distasteful.

France wins over Croatia in the finals.

This is what happens when all the good teams go to one side of the board.

Still processing....I just hate Real and MU so detested Ronaldo for the longest of time. Over the last couple of years I gained some respect for his play.

My concern is that my beloved Juve is becoming Inter....international mercenaries. Juve always was the backbone of the Azzurri and lately they seemed to have strayed from the Italian model. Champions League is not paramount to me, I prefer the scudetto and a strong Italian contingent with Juve. Just like I prefer a strong Quebec representation with the Habs.

I guess it is sign of the times.

Has that been confirmed?

I think that would be a good move for him. Finish out his days in an easy league padding his numbers. I mean even before he joins the LA Galaxy.

Is Not unsure he wants one of the best players of all time, who is still in strong form, on his team because he prefers Italian players?

Just like he prefers quebecers on the habs?

That has to be bull, no? PSG seems to have more muscle than either of the Spanish giants nowdays. Took Neymar from Barca and just paid 180euros last summer for Mbappé.

I think Harry Kane would be a more realistic target for Real. Even then, I’m not sure they could fend off MU if Kane goes into play.

Think the spanish giants luster is fading a bit. Stupid oil clubs suck. I dislike MU out of principle, but at least they are a real club with reasources stemming from self generated income.

Kane has already said hes not moving.

He said he knows other clubs can pay him more but he makes enough at tottenham and playing for his boyhood club.

Remember this guy is weird. What other famous soccer player marries a girl hes been dating since like age 11. Shes no model.. just a normal girl.

But thats just how he is. Loyal guy.

I may just have to root for Tottenham during Arsenal’s rebuild. Always liked them despite the north london thing (what do I care living in mtl). Very similar clubs -in fan base and style. Tottenham have always been little Arsenal in my mind, with the situation reversed nowdays.

Barca replaced Neymar in panic with an underwhelming Ousman Dembele. Not quite the same situation for Real, but I think they are underappreciating Ronaldo. Don’t think they can replace him adequately if they can’t unsettle Kane.

On another note, nice to see top players like Kane and Greizmann sticking with their clubs despite the obvious interest from much bigger clubs.

Don't PSG need to sell someone because of all their transfers? Not that I think that someone would be Neymar or Mbappe.

I think Kane would surely go to Madrid before MU, even if RM is aging, I think they and Barca are still seen as the premier clubs in the planet even if Ronaldo leaves.

Both Neymar and Mbappé have been linked to Real, but I think out of both of them, Neymar is the most likely to join them. He wants out of PSG, but I just don't think Madrid is very interested. it's too soon for Mbappé, even Real has denied the rumors not long ago I believe. His value will shoot through the roof after the world cup, so Imagine his worth in 3 years if he doesn't make an Adriano out of himself? I could see both Barcelona and Madrid in a bidding war to get him.

It's too bad all the people that could really run the Habs are busy doing talk radio, writing blogs or posting on message boards.

It's scripted that Russia wins the next 3 games without a single shot on net and takes the title of the least deserving team to win a major tournament from defending champs, Portulols.

I swear, if you watch replays closely in super slow motion you can see that the ball never touched the post. It just got attracted “unnaturally” towards the post and stopped mid air and was expulsed away from the goal line!

Time for Stanislav Cherchesov to revv up the troops with an appeal to Russian pride and stoicism - perhaps some allusion to the wars against the Turks....
