Ça va d'être facile.

Pas d'coeur ni ami is going to center Drouin and Armia tonight.

Would've liked seeing Suzuki on one of the top 2 lines. Also, wanna see Peca on that third line.

And that's most likely our D pairings to start the season.

Kotkaniemi with two ridiculous plays on the same shift... first one he created his own shot with some good stickhandling and riffled it off the cross bar... then he got the puck in the corner, did a spinorama pass on his backhand right on Armia's tape in the slot, but Armia muffed it.

Later in the period he hit another post off a drouin pass

He's so good.

It's a shame the Snes play for such a blundering team, because otherwise there would be a lot to look forward to in a couple of years. :why:

Kotka is quite swell. Never picks a bad route. Image
Also, let's keep this thread about Galchenyuk's on-ice performance, development and value and NOT bring in his personal life or race.

Also needs to improve his puck skills in tight spaces, but eventually I'd like his edge work and acceleration to allow him to escape pressure and not engage into board battles while in possession as much. You just gotta love the willingness to battle, and how he's able to follow the play out of intelligence alone.

The only negative I've noticed was his propension to get easily beaten on defensive duty.. I'm very confident he will learn the game. Looks like a brilliant young mens.

Defensively, I find It's more of a physical thing than positional. I think he's sound positionally, but we haven't seen him against teams like Tampa and Toronto which are a nightmare for defenders because of the speed and deception they move the puck with.

IMO we'd form the right opinion of where he truly is in his development in tougher situations. Right now it looks good, but he's been put in mostly favorable situations and he's answered well.

I'm afraid they're rushing a few guys 'cause our roster has immense craters on D and C. Mete and Juulsen are playing well, but I like prospects to come into the big show knowing the players they can be, instead of trying to figure it out in the pressure cooker. We didn't see much offense from those two and they're both projected to become top 4 D and have a bigger role this year. I'm worried Kotkaniemi is De La Rose'd, then again, he's showing more confidence than DLR ever did.

Regarding Kotka, I don't think he'll get the 9 games. I actually think Suzuki is going to have the 9 games, as he has nothing to learn in the CHL and he actually got a bit more meat on his bones.

Can't keep them both unless we either want to go with 6 defencemens or put DLR/Scherbak on waivers. Also, once D-lo and Le chat come back we'll have to put some peeps on the waivers or make a trade.

So as much as the media say everything is open, it's actually quite closed and D-lo injury is the only reason we can give a 9 games stint to one of them.

Also, McCarron is showing some volonté de puissance in that camp, at least it seems he hasn't given up, the only hope he has is go to the AHL, put a lastic autour de ses chnolles and try to become a hockey player.

I think Mu , thatvthings are actually open. If a guy wins a job, place will be made. They won’t make place because they hope a gut steps up though

The thing is they are not putting Chris Campoli or Mathieu D'arche on waivers, they'd have to put legitimate prospects. Signing Plek was a good move philosophycaly, but in real life he's just blocking the way of greatness.

He is.

You can see it these days.

Would the team hurt that much more if our bottom six centres were PQ/Jake the Snake instead of whatever combo of Plek/PQ/Jake the Snake/Mike Mike/your mother ?
