The Hosssa-Heatley trade was nearly 14 years ago. That chart only goes back a decade.

Kyle Turris now a healthy scratch 2 games in a row, with 5 years left on that contract ...

Also, Karlsson, despite HNIC shitting on him at every opportunity, is leading playoff defencemen in points.

Lehner has been playing great too.

Incredible collapse by Tampa. I'm thinking every greater than the old Senators collapse. Can't imagine how long shot odds a CLB sweep would have been. No one would have even said it with a straight face ten days ago.

Pens roasted too in 4. Crazy. The end of an era there. Going to be a wild offseason in the NHL. A lot of teams looking to dump old expensive players who are past their prime. If I were Dorion I'd be sending a weekly group text to the GM's saying I'm still looking for you old expensive players you need to get rid of to get around cap issues. That would take smarts and money though. I'm not sure if the Ottawa group has either anymore.

I'm not loving the play from EK in game 7. Don't know if he's injured, but I'd be reticent to signing to a longterm contact at this point...

Karl with some nice assists in this one. Didn't watch it but if you were to stay up for a Game 7 this would have been the one to do so. Karlsson slowed everyone down as he crawled over the line on the OT goal...dished it to the goal scorer who was going full speed and he walked around the Vegas players who were slowed down and locked into Karlssson's speed.

I can't see I feel bad for Vegas. Their first tough break as a franchise. Feels better seeing the Sharks move on. A lot to pay for Stone and seven playoff games, of course they got him signed but you have to wonder if they could have pitched a great UFA deal to him in the summer for no loss of players. I guess you have to take the chance, look at Columbus, but all in all a better looking return for Ottawa in terms of what LV actually got out of it this season.

What a third period.

Curtis Lazar is available! Flames didn't qualify him.

Let's pick him up! Great character guy, willing to work for discarded hamburgers.

I've never felt unsafe in the market. I mean sure there'd been a few sketchy folks I'd buy weed from when all other options had failed, but I haven't seen any of those folks around in ages. I thought it had actually improved.

The market is more violent than it has ever been. There is usually a couple of murders a month and a weekly non-lethal stabbing/shooting. But it's never random attacks, it's usually gang or drug-trade related.

I just want to say that Smith was a hard working plug that was given too much responsibility. Never liked that guy.

And now he's playing for an original 6 team with an actual shot at the playoffs. Message sent.

Crazy to see Turris scratched and can't even break into the line-up with injuries. Laviolette seems to hate him, which is weird because he was always a coach favorite in Ottawa because of his versatility.
