Edmonton fucks everything up, it's yet another reason I want the Leafs to trade for Puljujaarvi.

Don't forget they turned Gagner into Teddy Purcell and then into a 3rd rounder!

You mean like last year when I said that Johnsson and Kapanen could replicate most of what JVR provided to this team? Turns out I was wrong, they provide more. :hillary:

Coyle for Donato. Weird the B's make this move. It's a 3rd liner with potential for a third liner.
Donato may turn into something better. Coyle never plays heavy so i guess it gives them depth scoring?

Honestly, Donato is one of those guys that would have had a field day against the Leafs in a playoff series for Boston. It's always guys like that, or Debrusk, some asshole. Coyle is not as scary.

Maybe feel the way through the East is offense. If you can fight Stammer/Kucherov to a standstill, maybe you win by outscoring their bottom 6.

I'm not sure I would've wanted to pay a 2nd, but I am bummed that he's off the market. Hope Leafs can sign him in the off-season

It is going to be a late second, and they got a 5th back which isn't drastically different in terms of expected value.

The issue is not so much about it being fair, but more so that Jensen is undervalued as it is and not really a big name outside of advanced stats circles, and his 'counting stats' are not very good, plus he plays for a dogshit team, so I thought respective to that he would cost a little less than a 2nd. But I guess being an RHD puts a premium on the price

Aaanddd Washington just signed him for 4 years with a 2.5M AAV. Fuck me, that's an absolute steal

I'd gladly have Muzzin instead, but we'll see how that works out for Buffalo. Never understood why they traded O'Reilly in the first place, obtaining that 1st round pick along with plugs like Berglund and Sobotka, among other pieces.

Oof. Looks like Matt Barzal wasn't impressed by the scum people of Long Island and how they turned on a guy that gave a decade to their organization.

And that was after JT signed at a major discount to give the Islanders cap flexibility, flexibility that they did sweet fuck all with. If I'm Barzal, there's no way I take a significant discount after seeing what happened to JT.

Erik Brannstorm (who I'm a big fan of) called up and makes his nhl debut tonight in this scheduled dumpster fire of a game against St.Louis.
Should have just left him alone in the minors.

Lmao Rieder is the problem? Way to alienate and single out one player, bush league organization. Funny how nothing is said about the 6M caveman who has 15 goals in 153 games.

They think 10 or 12 goals from a bottom 6 winger is the reason they are outside of the playoffs? Good Lord that organization is fucked.
