I am watching FC for the 2nd straight game. This breaks my previous record of one, set last weekend.

Jermain Defoe scores. 3rd of the season. One behind Clarkson.

The only FC games I've seen were all when I was at the game with actual soccer fans (which I am not), but I thought it was odd there wasn't a thread. Good show.

Also, competent. /wordphag

They're two thirds away from their win total from last year. It's game two of 27 or so.

The best Michael Bradley to play for a Toronto sports team makes it 1-0 early against Columbus.

But they won anyway, because Bradley is a stud.

We need to find a way to emotionally crush Defoe on a weekly basis.

I've been watching the CFL all of my life. There have been countless NFL stars, big NCAA names that people assumed would dominate up here. It seldom worked out. Different game, different player qualities required. I would assume that soccer is similar. Quality is quality but it doesn't always mean instant superstar.
