Fuck sake. That's terrible. I still have some fuzzy memories of his first few years with the Leafs. Tough sonofabitch. Never figured he be the kind of guy to get into broadcasting, but I've always thought he did a pretty good job. So shitty.

I always equated his broadcasting with having a stroke, so this makes sense to me

We have a trade to announce. Lou Lamoriello has traded himself to another body, but with shorter legs. More details will be available soon.

Johnny T can go fuck himself if he's going to play those fucking games all year. Fuck that. We don't want him.

Fuck sakes. Just found out that the 6th rounder Anaheim used for Manson was from us. We traded it for a 6th in the following year... Which was used on Ryan Rupert.

I mean, whatever. But shit

Lol ya, Anaheim had 3 Leafs picks in that 2011 draft and nailed them all. Rakell, Gibson and Manson.

This article basically covers my concerns with Zaitsev: https://www.pensionplanpuppets.com/2017 ... -zone-play

Now, I'm still not entirely sold on him being adjusted to the pace of the NHL on the smaller rink and it's also possible that he'll become less conservative now that he's clearly a part of the Leafs future. I don't think he's ever going to be a Hjalmarsson or Tanev type guy and there's nothing wrong with that. I just hope fans realize Zaitsev doesn't play that style of game and doesn't have those skills, so that we can appreciate him a little more for what he is.

Who has a bigger shot at being a better fantasy player in a full keeper league, Borgman or Rosen? Asking for a friend........

Rosen will probably get more points, Borgman would get you more real time stats (hits, blocks). That being said, between the two it seems Borgman will be the one who gets more ice time, and when Carrick is healthy it's possible Rosen is benched/sent back down.

Pretty much that.
With Carrick/Dermot in the fold, it's boom/bust with Rosen, and steady eddy with Borgman. When it comes to fantasy purposes anyway. Depends on the league stats aswell.

Don't have a link or anything, but Healy was on Bob Mcowan's show last night and it was pretty funny listening to him rip into Simmons for speculating Matthews has a concussion. Guys like Bobcat want injuries disclosed because they are fucking lowlife gambling scum. I hate sports betting, it's worked fine for football, but I don't want that culture seeping into hockey. Anyway, why is it anyones (aside from the Team and Player) fucking business what the injury is? Fuck off.

Well, it's nice to know when the guy might be coming back, just from a fan entertainment perspective. If it's a sore elbow, you know it'll probably only be a few more days, but a concussion can take who knows how long. Not worth getting in a tizzy about though.

Why does wagering on an event make one "lowlife scum?" I don't bet myself, but I also don't see anything wrong with it.

Personally I don't think fans or anyone else has a right to know anothers personal medical issues. The only thing, imo, is that superstars sell tickets. From a casual fan perspective, Id want to know if said superstars are going to be playing before I fork over hundreds of dollars.

I just can't stand professional gamblers. Of any kind. The odd pro line or an office pool is one thing, but those aren't the people that care about injury specifics. Its just so American and grosses me out.
Its just a personal thing, but if someone told me they played professional poker I would actually think less of them.

I totally get from a fan/ticket perspective, but an injury can happen any time in any game so forking over money ahead for a ticket has inherent risk. The bottom line, imo, is the injuries are none of the public's beeswax.

Watching live, I'm pretty sure Naz was asking to fight again in the same game. Risto then incorrectly pointed out they have 4 more games. And so on.

I don't want Naz fighting much at all, nevermind twice in a game against a bottom feeder

Ok? It's still a super isolated spot where travel is gonna be a bitch. I get they have history there, but having them affiliated with Maine would of made a lot more sense.

I suspect affiliation with an existing team would result in less control than Dubas and the Leafs wanted. Getting in on the ground floor with a team probably ensures that they have more say over personnel and management. Still, they likely could have tried someplace a little better connected to the rest of the league.

You mean like the Maine Mariners that are set to begin playing next season and have no current NHL affiliation?
