Wallin had more of an impact than he did.

Shitty about Kontiola. I figured with his Olympic experience he'd at least be fourth line/spare tire serviceable. Guy made a major sacrifice to try and make it work.

Petri Kontiola is heading back to the KHL once the #leafs officially terminate his contract.

The dream is over for Petri. Sad how things turned out

According to some Finns, Kontiola had a bad ankle injury in the off-season that prevented him from conditioning properly and also affected his skating, which is why he looked super slow during training camp as well. Unfortunate if that's the case.

Where's this coming from? If true, that's really rough.

That's really too bad. Ill-timed. His first two strides were terrible so this would explain a bit.

Always an excuse. It's almost December FFS, and he couldn't keep up in the minors.

TSN mentioned tonight, with the loss of Dupuis for at least 6 months they would be looking for a top six forward. I would think this is a good opportunity to unload Lupul. A kid like Scott Harrington would be a real nice add in trade.

Definitely. Pens were looking for a top six winger before the injury. Almost 5m would have to come back for this deal to work.

Martin + youngster for Franson + Lupul

They'll need someone to cover his minutes.

Limited NTC. Somehow I think we're on it.

I like that Simon Despres kid but he's purely a LD from what I've read.

If Pitts added Lupul to their top6 and was healthy for the playoff run, they'd probably win the cup.

Kuntiz Crosby Hornquist
Lupul Malkin whoever

Crazy top6

But, I'd play Lupul with Crosby.

You think Lupes can play 82 games before his contract is out?

Unfortunately firsts alone aren't enough to build the farm. Ask the Oilers.

Thankfully mid and late round drafting has been pretty damned solid under Morrison.

Well the best faceoff men definitely try to cheat or turn their bodies into it a lot more, the trick is being able to be aggressive without getting thrown out. Bozak is obviously a master at this.
