Brian Burke talking mid period on tv like the rest of those pukes is depressing for me.

Didn't think they had it in them to beat the Pens.

Pitts has played alot of hockey.

Time to trade Phil.

What's funny is that this is the weakest Washington team in years on paper (still a great team obviously) and yet this is the one that finally got over the hump.

Rod the Bod to coach the Canes. Will the Canes now have the strongest *supplement* game in town?

Boy, that new owner really shook things up. It's a whole new organization...er, wait that can't be right.

Anyone watching the WPG/NSH game tonight? I'll be up to watch as I have to stay up all night.

The only two teams I have any interest in are Vegas and Washington. Washington because OV is too great to retire cupless, and Vegas for the lulz.

I'll be watching with great interest. Have always had a soft spot for Nashville since the Stevey Sullivan/Legwand days.

The peg ain't a bad team to watch either.

I'm a fan of dmen and both have good talent here. Should be a good one. As long as it doesn't go OT. I need to get up at 630.

I'm sort of hoping for OT. I've got to stay awake all night to prep for a EEG sleep study I'm having tomorrow.

Only Canadian team I don't hate is Calgary. I did cheer for Edmonton in '06 but that was before I was exposed to the douchebaggery of Oilers fans and Edmontonians in general.

I run a pool at work. This year I put two entries in, and had my 5 year old make his own picks for one of them. He had various opinions, pretty much choosing based on how badass the team name or logo was. He did pick the flyers over the penguins though, and when I asked why he said “because I hate the Pittsburgh penguins.” Good boy.

Anyway, his final 2 are the caps and preds. As it turns out, if the predators win tonight, the worst possible outcome for him will be a tie for first place. There’s a good chance a 5 year old is about to beat a bunch of armchair experts.

C’mon, Rage. We all know that crap doesn’t matter. What does matter is that PK just improved his Corsi.

Haven't watched much of NSH this year. Haven't seen this Saros kid before. Fuck, I guess I'm so used to seeing giant goaltenders that a guy who is *only* 5'11" looks Allan Bester-sized in there.

Well, I guess short-pass, move-as-a-unit teams like NSH can get hemmed in too. NSH don't generate much speed coming out of their zone and by the time they get into the neutral zone there's often only 1 or 2 guys in the play. The game's being played on 3/4 of the ice right now.

With the way NSH has played tonight, that might be the game. 3-1 WPG on a pretty nice shot from Scheifele.

Well. That's that. 4-1 WPG with a few minutes left. Stastny with a big night. Would still like us to kick his tires as 3C this summer but I doubt he'll end up here. If WPG can afford him, I could see him staying there.

Before the season started media were really pumping his tires, but I posted on Twitter that even though everyone thought he was going to be this great starter for the Canes he had never started 40 games in a given year in his hockey career. EVER. Someone from his family went full emo on me for posting that fact. LOL.

Looks like my skepticism was not unwarranted.

Assuming Cap/Jets final, the Caps have a huge advantage in terms of experience. And also, given their past failures, they will be fucking feeling that shit. I think Washington would win.

That's one way to increase hockey-related revenues. For an extra $50 each, fans can take a few shots at Marchand.

Vegas is the Monstars. Somehow they steal everybody's talent.

They're about to breeze into the finals while dressing Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, Ryan Carpenter, William Carrier and Tomas Nosek as regulars and Nate Schmidt and Deryk Engelland as their top two d-men by ice time.

Honestly never been more revolted in MY LIFE
