It's for Thomas Pannone and Samad Taylor.

Taylor is a 19 year old SS that was just drafted. Seems to have decent stats at A-.

Pannone is a 23 year old LHP. Here's a fangraphs mini-report on him.

"Thomas Pannone, LHP, Cleveland (Profile)
Level: Hi-A Age: 23 Org Rank: NR Top 100: NR
Line: 7 IP, 3 H, 0 BB, 8 K

Notes
Pannone was the subject of one of David Laurila’s recent interviews and has now allowed just 10 hits and seven walks in 27.2 innings this year while striking out 39. He’s throwing a bit harder this year, mostly 88-91, and working his fastball up and curveball down effectively. At 23, it’s prudent to be skeptical of performance in Single-A, but if Pannone gets promoted and continues to throw well at Double-A, it will be time to re-evaluate."

He has continued to perform reasonably well at AA.

Who cares, we flipped a one year singing into to two prospects. I'll take it and run. We suck and didn't get better or worse.

Story on Pannone from Fangraphs http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/thomas-p ... up-zeroes/

Sounds like a young Marco Estrada without the HR issue.

Alex Rios once threw a ball to me. As the ball was coming and touched my hand, this young Seattle fan tries to get it as well and smacks my hand enough that the ball falls in to this no-mans-land between the visitors bullpen and the balcony of the stands. I turned to yell at this idiot, and juuuust as a stream of expletives was about to pour from my cake hole I noticed that this person was about 15 years old and had Down's syndrome. To this day I hope that guy eventually got his baseball. Fuck it, he probably got a thousand of them over the years...

Typical Rios. Was tossing the ball to the 15 year old and couldn't even get that right and went in your direction instead.

I'm hoping the homage to Eric Hinske is next. Then we can really dig into the 00's for the Jays and all their mediocre players. Tony Batista needs some love too. Mighty Joe Inglett? Lunchbox Hero?

Rios is and was better than all of those guys. The one thing the article fails to mention is that the move cleared up a position for a bearded dickhead who ended up being top five in franchise history. I STILL get goosebumps just thinking of the dinger against Texas.

Danny Jansen has finally landed in AAA. SSS of only 40 PA, but, a slash of .438/.550/.656/1.206 Should compete heavily for back up catcher next season. Dump Morales and have JD/Martin/Pearce rotate through DH.

And hitting for power, there is nothing not to like about his hitting profile. The biggest question seems to be whether he can be even passable at 3B, or if he will be a bat only player ala Miggy.

What I've read some scouts seem to think he can be a corner outfielder rather then a 1b. Either way...

Carlos Ramirez has now thrown 37.2 inning across AA -AAA-MLB and has yet to allow a run. Converted OF with a ridiculous slider.

Not even the least bit. The Jays top relievers have been overworked due to the complete lack of starting pitching depth and the healthy starters inability to consistently get through 6 innings.

No issues with Osuna. He needs some time with one of those high performance shrinks which in sure the Jays have around. He'll be fine, just nice seeing a bullpen being built from within. Next season the pen should be better. Hopefully Anderson stays decent and Biagini gets into a groove and we can see what they can do when worked so hard.
