Going skiing with the boy tomorrow. That’ll be fun.

Everybody thinks their own kids are great. But, let me clarify, these were stroppy pre-teens and teens. Wait for it.

I’m starting to notice that this world has far too many naysayers in it.

Programming your kids to be what we believe is funny is our right as parents. Not child abuse!

If you participate in leisurely walks in the city, then you shouldn't be surprised that you could get robbed at gunpoint.
That's pretty much stage 1 of allowing it to happen to yourself.

I have gotten no small amount of joy watching Islanders nation implode following the Tavares signing. It is even more delicious because of how adamant they were that JT would never sign here.

They had 6 years of well below market rate for a truly elite player. They should be mad at their management for pissing away an opportunity to take advantage of that.

Lost Tavares and DeHaan but added salary dump Matt Martin and a goalie who was not qualified at $2.5 million by the worst team in the league.

David Booth might be one of the dumbest players of all time

If you want a good laugh watch him get slaughtered in the replies, he even engages and digs his hole that much deeper.

He even doubles down and tries to say nobody rebuked his logic and just called him names. Aki would love him.

It actually is a stupid thing to elevate "belief" in such a way, but it's a fucking advertisement. I.e., it's a fancy way to say "follow your dreams". It's no different from any other ad campaign, almost all of which are stupid in some sort of way.

I caught Booth's interview with Landsberg yesterday morning and it was cringeworthy. Booth brought up the spectre of terrorism and school shootings in a wild tangent.

The irony is the ignorance of the actions toward the controversies of this ad an the kneeling to begin with seem bigger than the actions toward the controversies of mass shootings and Russian election fixing etc etc.

These guys will stand up for their right to bear arms but not for a black man's right to free speech and to protest.

It's almost farcical. It shouldn't be controversial to say, "I want to show some support to people who don't want to be shot by the police due to the color of their skin". That's not disrespecting the police, the armed forces, or a country. That's just saying "I don't want my fellow citizens to be shot".

Retards on TSN, namely Pierre McGuire amongst others, were talking about Marner's next contract and that he may get over 10M. Sure, not like Kucherov just signed a 9.5 AAV deal with more UFA years after a 100 pt season :nucks:

The Marner contract speculation by the media is bizarre. Only one winger in the cap era has ever got over 9M on their second deal, Alexander Ovechkin, but Marner is somehow a lock to not only match that, but exceed it.

Dare I suggest that I think Marner is better than Ovi? Blue goggles on for sure, but I mean holy shit Mitch does some amazing shit pretty much every shift.

He drives the offense in a big way and is pretty much unstoppable.

So is Ovi though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ovechkin isn’t even the best Russian taken in his draft year.
