I still don't know how to say that guys name. And I'm not about to trust Romanuk and his co-donkey with the pronunciation either.

Yeah, but for the one guy that had the balls to make the thread, how many unspoken idiots lurk in our fanbase?

Yuck. Do not want to trade Kappy for anything short of a legit young top 4 D (obviously it would be part of a package since I doubt Kapanen gets that straight up) or really good D prospect.

I'll be disappointed if we never get to see Nylander-Kapanen in the NHL together.

I'd be reticent to move Kapanen right now. He seems to be coming into his own. He's only 20 and on pace to put up similar point totals to Nylander in the AHL. That's nothing to sneeze at. I like the bloodlines, too. Always had a soft spot for his old man.

Matthews is better at literally every part of the game besides shooting, and we're still talking about a guy whose wrister has been compared to Joe Sakic's.

I'll concede he'll probably score more. But, his confidence that Laine will become a pinnacle of two-way play is belied even by his list of marquee wingers. Lafleur? Bossy?

The first had Shutt and Lemaire. Bossy doesn't go far without Trottier. OV hasn't won shit, in part because it took him until after his late 20s to even think about playing D and because his centre isn't in the same league as those other guys.

And as for Kane, he's not the face of the league as long as Crosby is around.

Matthews/Laine is the same debate as Crosby/Ovechkin. You take the two way C with elite talent over the elite shooter.
