In case you fellas forgot how much of a piece of shit the Toronto Sun is

http://www.torontosun.com/2017/01/11/ra ... -of-season

All the forwards except Matthews (A-), Marner (also A-) and JVR (B) received a B- or lower. Kadri who is going to eclipse 30 goals while shutting down top opponents gets a C+ as does Nylander (4th in team scoring, 5th in rookie scoring, 4th in rookie PPG), yet Komarov gets a B-. Brown also with just a B-. For the D, his rankings are a bit better but he gives Jake a B- even though he's been arguably the best D this year.

If Hornby wasn't seen as certifiably retarded before, he sure is now.

HOT TAKES HERE. GET YER HOT TAKES.

I do think that Willy has been snake-bitten to some extent. He could have a bunch more points than he does. He's been quietly good most every game and had some games where he was dominant. Does something that makes me double take every game, but he's not as consistently noticeable like Matthews or Marner to me.

Had a feeling somebody would share that here. I do think there are areas in which Nylander are better and are overlooked, and Marner has been in a more favourable role to succeed, he plays on a sheltered scoring line with two offensive-minded vets and they are fed lots of offensive zone starts. Put Nylander in that position and I have no doubts he'd produce just as much. I think Nylander's game is overall more mature than Marner's but he's also had more pro-seasoning, and Marner has a better motor.

The reason they post that story is the same reason that Madonna says "fuck" on live television.

The amount of time people at work spend talking about how their commute was during a mild snowstorm is mind bottling.

You know how they rounded edges of the stanchions? They might aswell add triangle pieces of foam to the backs of players so you can't accidentally hit them that way.

Done.

I won't be happy until hitting is abolished, fighting is met with criminal charges and only eunuchs are allowed to participate.

It's time to take a stand against the gross masculinization of contact sports.

I would have been quite happy with a 50 point season from any of the big three. This has all been gravy. Can't forget about guys like Brown either.

After a rough start coming off an off-season injury, Freddy has delivered.

Wise man. I was never really on board but I have moments where I consider it. More now that I figure I'm a little old to start. Originally Mrs. 'Rage said she didn't want them but - being 8 years my junior - I left it in her court. If the bomb went off, just let me know and we'd go from there. She made a few rumbles about it in her early 30s but a couple of crappy days with our niece and nephews seemed to put the kibosh on it once and for all.

I’ve honestly never had a shitty day with my kids. Sure they’re a pain in the ass and take most of my money, but hopefully one of them will wipe my ass when I’m 80 so it’ll be worth it.

Going skiing with the boy tomorrow. That’ll be fun.
