He's capable. He's a strong guy and he can move well. Just look at his D on Brogdon last night. It was text book. He's the hardest working guy in the NBA for my money and deserves to be the first Raptor to have his jersey retired. Vince should have to wait.

Vince quit on the team. DeMar has stayed loyal even when the fans were giving him a tough time. Vince should have to wait.

Raps would have to add at least 1.4M to make the deal work financially. I.E. Caboclo or Nogueira. Not that it would change my mind.

Jordan is maybe the best and most underrated center in the league. Been a fan of his for a long long time. Fast enough to hang in small ball line-ups and creates hell on the boards and on defense. Getting him while clearing JV, since he’ll never fit into the offense, would be a huge boon even if he’s a FA after the year.

I'd do it. Jordan has shown he can impact a game in a bigger way while having the ball in his hands less. JV seemingly needs offensive touches to get into the game, not the same for Jordan. It also works in that while Powell has now only shown flashes of brilliance, he's been usurped at the 3 by OG and Miles and Delon can play the 2 as Casey likes to roll 3 guard looks. It would also save them money for next season.

It seems that Jordan is a pending FA with 18/19 being a player option. If it is that changes things as I'd want Jordan for at least next season.

Him and FVV have the same or better WinShare and PER. Those two might force Norm out (especially if he can't fight his way back into the rotation.)

It's why I'm okay with the proposed Norm+JV for Jordan proposal. Delon and FVV are so good. Like was said above, as long as Delon can stay healthy he's a killer player. Yesterday was the first full Raptors game I got to watch all season and, while it was the best of his career, he was the one keeping the team afloat until everyone else found their legs.

I don't hate JV at all. I rather like him, he just doesn't really fit here with Ibaka. And he's a good asset so he'd be on the move and would fit well in other places where he could feature more.

Also: DeMar DeRozan working his way to superstardom:

The isolation, mid-range two-point, defensively-passive player who is supposed to jar so badly with the overarching thematics of the 21st century sports analytics movement is somehow an advanced stats beast and one of the game's best outliers

Well, then. Kudos.

I don't hate him, he just doesn't have much use in today's NBA. The best teams run a small ball lineup, and you can't play JV in that set-up.

The problem is they’ve almost never done that. I truly believe a pass happy offense with a very creative coach could use him as an unstoppable beast but the team just isn’t built that way. Nor should they considering the best teams essentially run small ball lineups.

I know, they've done a lot of things this year that they've never done before. But it's something they should do. It make sense. Just park him in the paint and let him feast. Put an athletic defender next to him to make up for his lack of speed.

The problem these days is they figured out 3 > 2. You have to shoot a pretty shit percentage to outweigh the damage that a 3 can do.

I love JV. He has been under used, especially when hot. Yesterday was one of the first times I've seen them use him on a heater in a while and I'm pretty sure it's only because they were winning.

There will always be times using him doesn't make sense, in a reactionary way. On the flip side, if they had confidence in him, they could force their own agenda

They ended that possibility when they got Ibaka. Unless they swap Poeltl and JV, then JV could have Siakam beside him.

I'd have asked for a trade if they dealt Kyle to the Knicks
Kyle and me didn't talk when he first came here, we didn't have each other's numbers, nothing.

The final play before OT is a really good example of everyone is skeptical of this team. Waste too much time. Give it to DeMar. Long two under double coverage.

Not to mention that he had Delon wide open to throw it back to on the double. He should know, like everyone with a functioning brain does, that he's going to get double coverage. Find the ONE open man.

3 things.

1. JV played less than an ejected Ibaka.

2. 30 something seconds left, full shot clock, 1 point lead. If it was Norm or the coaches, who the fuck decided it was wise to go for a quick basket and let off about 1 second of clock. Side note, Norm Powell might be the worst player in the league this year.

3. What a disaster that last possession was. That's just awful.
