Why would Bozak be covering someone when his team has the puck?

I thought Gauthier would get stuck in quicksand tonight. I'm not only impressed by his skating/agility, but with his offensive instincts. Play him more babs.

Well, that save there just tells the story of this game. TB got 2 shit goals, we couldn't get one by the best goalie in the league.

Mike Hoffman got passed over by 30 teams too. I'm not saying that Marty is that quality of player, but teams miss out on NHL'ers all the time.

Marty has 175 games under his belt, he sucks and everyone knows it.

Leafs played a full 60, they simply lost to a better team. Tampa is so fucking good, they have relentless pressure and Vasilevskiy is amazing even when they give up chances.

Hope the Leafs saw what it takes to be a truly elite team. They even shut down Stamkos' line and still lost. You can't have Roman Polak taking a regular shift and expect to be an elite team.

He was solid. His stickhandling has improved a ton.

I liked how the Goat appears to have realized he's a large man.

Bozak, Polak, and Komarov are killing this team. Can’t see the ice as much as these guys do and have so little to show for it.

Komarov hasn'teven been good defensively this season.

Komarov I thought played decent tonight. That line did a good job neutralizing Stamkos. Bozak was pretty bad though, he is just way too weak and soft on the puck. And Polak needs to fuck off

This was Leo’s best game in a while and I barely noticed him. He plays way too much considering that he is an offensive black hole and can skate only slightly better than Polak can.

I thought Naz and Marleau along with the D were doing most of the work against Stammer and Kucherov and that when that line did get a chance to go the other way Leo was useless or detrimental.

Stoke those fires though!

I didn't feel we were very competitive in the 1st outside of a couple counter attacks, but I did in the second and third.

Bozak and JVR were useless last night. Bozak did have a couple of nice passes and was part of our best PP. JVR looked sick to me.

Polak has about 2 bright spots a game breaking the puck out. Weighed against 10+ shit head plays, he can't be playing in a game that matters.

Gauthier earned himself another game....so that means Moore will slot in for sure.

If the Goat is getting a look, one of the Marlies D (Dermott) should get a chance to see NHL speed before we truly explore the trade market.

Martin was benched to finish. I don't see how he would have been on the ice winning or losing that game in the 3rd. Makes you wonder why ice him to begin with?

That said. Couple of bounces go our way and we steal a point last night. They were competing all night for the most part.

So, basically, Polak was the blurst. Any other reason to watch this one?

The game itself was pretty entertaining, some good chances for both teams. Also a good way to gauge the league's best team and where the Leafs are relative to that with their level of play.

I can't wait till 2020 when Kucherov, Point and Stralman need new contracts.
