He was grabbing his collar like everyone does in a fight. If Joe doesn't want his beard ripped out, maybe he shouldn't fight with a beard that he could use as a lobster bib.

That’s what I think too.

Not if there's beard in the way.

Not a bad night for Knads. Fights their best player and reminds him the hobo beard is soooooo 2015, pots the go-ahead goal, gives up nothing 5-on-5, rustles jimmies and gets claw trolling. Great success.

Komarov had more PP time than Matthews, JVR, Kadri and Nylander.

I'll let the OT shifts go (which he shouldn't have) and the PK time is fine, but FFS. He has 1 PPG and 2 PPP. Hyman/Brown, hell, Goat is a big body who could stand in front. Dude is a black hole on the PP and keeps getting premium time out there.

And I understand why he is on this team and his presence is important. But there needs to be a line somewhere. Dude played 24 minutes.

That's easily the most baffling decision by Babs. Leo on the PP makes zero sense. I know Nylander and Matthews have great chemistry, but I'd have our best set up man and goal scorer on the same unit.

According to Mirtle, this is the 55th highest total played by a forward this season. :stare:

And yeah, I thought Babs was done with line matching in OT and putting Komarov out there as he hadn't done that since last season so I was pretty shocked last night when that's what he started with.

It's really too bad Leivo doesn't get to draw in. He's a good fit on that unit in place of Komarov.

Massive drop-off in defensive smarts.

Come on Claw, Knads was scared shitless. When you decide to fight instead of turtling, you hold on and don't let go. Fuck Joe and his ugly scruff.

Its hypocritical in his PP philosophy, that you play four forwards for their scoring prowess. Not to argue with you, I'm sure you're being facetious.

I can get behind it if and when it works, but it's tough the way we have looked at multiple points this season.

Having Komarov on the 3-on-3 bugs me the most. The trick it to maintain possession. Komarov is good at breaking up plays and so on, but the best thing we can do against Thornton/Pavelski/Burns is put them on defense and keep them that way. When Marleau is sitting on the bench, hard to justify putting Komarov out there.

Not at all. I wasn't clear. I think a straight swap of Komarov for Leivo makes the team worse, not necessarily on the PP. And, no, I wasn't suggesting that's what LOB meant. Just an offhand remark.
