The Hound remains the best character in the show

Good starter episode, with only twelve left in the entire series it better be full speed ahead from here on out

While having Arya take revenge makes a lot of sense for the show, I'd rather the Freys undoing in the books be more supernatural/act-of-old-gods. After all guest right is ancient

Interesting to note that she was glancing at those Lannister swords whilst sitting around that campfire. If she kills them offscreen, she could use a Lannister soldier's armor/face to get close to the queen.

Still think she's heading north though

I thought "let's go murder them" was bad from Euron last season but last night's episode brought him to a Sand Snakes level

She'll go down south, finish her mission, then head north. All the remaining Starks will reunite at Winterfell.

I didn't love yesterday's episode. It was pretty much a prologue to the rest of the season. Good start, then it petered out.

And, yes, I know you all want to know about THE WINDS OF WINTER too. I've seen some truly weird reports about WOW on the internet of late, by 'journalists' who make their stories up out of whole cloth. I don't know which story is more absurd, the one that says the book is finished and I've been sitting on it for some nefarious reason, or the one that says I have no pages. Both 'reports' are equally false and equally moronic. I am still working on it, I am still months away (how many? good question), I still have good days and bad days, and that's all I care to say. Whether WINDS or the first volume of FIRE AND BLOOD will be the first to hit the bookstores is hard to say at this juncture, but I do think you will have a Westeros book from me in 2018... and who knows, maybe two. A boy can dream...

"I can make it by August of 2015"
"I can make it by the end of October 2015"
"I can make it by new years 2015"
"I think it will be out in 2016"
"I think it will be out in 2017"
"I hope it could possibly be out by 2018"

i don't get how you can at one point think you can get something done in months and then have it turn into years. he must go periods of months where he gets absolutely zero progress done.

he's known for being a writer where things will get him in a bad mood and he won't be able to write. for example the giants or jets losing is enough for him to get depressed. the guy needs a therapist if he does have one already because clearly the pressure of putting out these books has stopped him from being able to.
