I was looking at hockey-reference's numbers on Blackwood, they have stats like quality starts and really bad starts. QS is a save percentage higher than the season average, or higher than 88.5 on 20 shots or fewer, in which Blacky has 18 out of 40. They also have a stat called really bad starts, which is starts with a save percentage below 85% in which Blackwood has six. As a comparison, Vasilevsky, who leads the league in wins has four really bad starts out of 43 games and 27 quality starts.
If Blackwood can up his quality starts to the 22 out of 40 range, then you could pick up a few more wins.
Domingue has five out of 13 starts, Schneider has three out of seven and Blackwood has six out of 36. That's 14 out of 56 starts that our goalies have had a save percentage under 85%, that's sad. Domingue is one out of every two starts, Schneider same thing and Blackwood is one in every four.
For comparison's sake on the RBS stat, Blackwood is ranked 17th with six. Holtby, Rinne, Jones and Bobrovsky lead the way with 10. Price, Hart, Elliot and Gibson have eight, which is hilarious cause Philly has a combined 16 lol. Andersen, Fleury, Mrazek, Smith and Howard have seven, then it's Blackwood, Hellebuyck, Rittich, Hutton and Subban. Jarry has zero in 25 starts which is outstanding.
