ya i think voter suppression is their only chance and it's not enough especially with people feeling more and more like that is the man holding them down which has always lead to more movement.

if my redneck hometown is this close to split, thats a very bad sign for the righties

I am very curious to know the towns or counties in which all of you Americans reside. I am trying to fathom what it must even be like walking down the street knowing so many random pedestrians are trump people to the bitter end.

Where I live now in Hoboken, I'd say it's like 70% for Biden, if not more.
Where I grew up in Middletown, I'd say it's 50% for Trump, 25% Biden and 25% don't give a fuck

Antifa, Antifa, Antifa. Hunter Biden, Hunter Biden, Hunter Biden. That's all it is anymore. He has no policy anymore. No immigration stuff, no wall, nothing. It's sad and pathetic. I'm just ready for this shit to be over. If he wins again, I don't even have the words.

NJ just has cells everywhere. It’s mostly liberal but there’s pockets of nut jobs and they’re loud about it

think it's obvious from my last post or a lot of my posts in general but i'm in austin. i'm actually shocked at how many biden lawn signs i see. i can't remember seeing a single trump sign. like anywhere, there's crazy trump supporters. i expect my county to go 70% for biden. it would be nuts if it was higher, or even if turnout was increased.

I live in rural northern NJ (appalachia, basically) so yeah lifted F250s with blacked out windows and Trump flags spawn like you're outside of the city in a GTA game

Working in the south I found there was more of an irrational fear/hatred of Democrats than a love of Trump. They talked a lot about how Democrats were going to take all their guns and outlaw religion and turn the country into Venezuela. I know there are a lot of Trump worshipers out there but it wasn't the people I talked to. "I'm not a big fan of Donald Trump but at least he's not a SOCIALIST" was pretty common. It's scary when you realize that Fox News is actually the most accurate and sane source of information for a lot of people.

the way i look at it is it's free advertisement while donating to the campaign. does it really get anyone additional to vote for that person, idk it would be interesting to see. on off election i think it's a good way to remind people an election is coming up, but for presidential elections it's hard to not know.

Most peeps I know that are trump supporters don’t like his act but they’ve seen their 401ks go up, their home values go up, and think Biden is senile or will be a puppet to the far left.

I die at people thinking Joe fucking Biden will be a puppet of the far left when the far left hated him compared to Bernie. He was viewed as a republican and that's why there are so many republicans willing to vote for Biden cause he's closer to them than Bernie

When you can’t attack someone you attack others. Biden has a long track record of middle of the row politics, plus his personal story is hard to attack. Biden is well known, and most people know him as a well meaning, caring, decent human being. His campaign has also done a good job reinforcing that message that plays extremely well in the pandemic. So all that is left for the other side is to attack the outliers in the Democratic Party to hope to tie Biden to them.

Of course Biden won the primary by basically putting together a large coalition to crush Sanders. So the influence will be limited.

Trump with his campaign is basically in the bunker commanding the fictitious 6th army at this point.

Same here. There's also a van that is plastered with Trump stickers and flags parked in front of a deli all day,

I coined Hidden Trumpers in 2016 as to why I thought he would win. He has a lot of vocal support, but I think even more that just stay quiet about it,

If Florida flips it is a wrap for Trump. If it gets all the way to Texas flipping it is an historic route.

i see trump winning florida and texas. i can't really imagine him not winning. there's just too many crazies in florida for him to not edge out a win.

trump has to win florida though. he has a really difficult path if he loses florida. he'd have to win PA and one of AZ, WI, MN, or MI to make up for it. this is all assuming trump wins IA, NC, OH, and GA. a loss in any of those is also a big hit.

IMO, the whole election is gonna come down to PA, WI, MN, MI, and AZ. if biden picks up 4/5 of those he wins.

in terms of texas i don't worry about it for the presidential race too much. voter turnout in dallas, austin, san antonio, houston, and el paso would have to increase so much to make up the gap and i don't think it's possible right now. trump won texas by 800k votes. i'm hoping for additional turnout of like 50k in austin. maybe in the future it will be a battleground state which would be a nightmare for the GOP.

i think there's a better shot down ballot for dems in texas. right now austin is split into 6 districts and is fucked by gerrymandering. austin is a city that votes 70/30 in the dems favor, but has 1 dem representative in the house. there were some tight races in 2018 that were within 3-5% and a boost in turnout could really change things. unfortunately my district is pretty fucked and the dem lost in 2018 by 15.5% (37k votes). i doubt it flips.

A normal election I would agree with you, but I think Biden pulls out Florida due to the effects of the pandemic. The thing to remember about Florida is while the last few election cycles have gone red, they are still incredibly close margins. Both statewide elections (governor and senate), went to a recount in 2018 and the Dems probably should have won had they not nominated a candidate (Gillium) who’s administration was under investigation for corruption and the Senate Democrats would have supported Nelson more bs Scott’s money. Right now because of the pandemic I think there is enough bleeding of Seniors who don’t want to die from the pandemic to move the needle the half point to two points Biden needs.

Texas I agree. I think Trump and the Senator there pull out close wins.

sacrificing the old and being very public about it has killed him in the 65 and older crowd. who would have thought those people like being alive and they like seeing their children/grandchildren. the 65+ crowd votes in the short term mainly, which is why they usually vote republican. problem is dying right now seems a lot more important to them at the moment than their 401k or taxes.

i'd say there's a version of this where trump sends a message to eric or jr where he tells them they're losers and will never be ivanka, but we all know he doesn't talk to them

Extremely funny that the Republican Party is so unhinged that loving your son is frowned upon. That’s the other team over there. Making fun of somebody for caring about their children. Wild.

Why the fuck is France taking people in with immediate ties to ISIS members?

Ricard told reporters that the Moscow-born suspect, who had been granted a 10-year residency in France as a refugee in March, was armed with a knife and an airsoft gun, which fires plastic pellets.

His half-sister joined the Islamic State group in Syria in 2014, Ricard said. He didn’t give her name, and it is not clear where she is now.

The prosecutor said a text claiming responsibility and a photograph of the victim were found on the suspect’s phone. He also confirmed that a Twitter account under the name Abdoulakh A belonged to the suspect. It posted a photo of the decapitated head minutes after the attack along with the message “I have executed one of the dogs from hell who dared to put Muhammad down.”

Ricard said the suspect had been seen at the school asking students about the teacher, and the headmaster had received several threatening phone calls.
