She gave up her morning swims on the lake in St. Barts. It sure felt like she was auditioning at Prospects camp. She's also bff with Sarah Baicker.

Exactly. That may be the best gig in hockey. You get to work for the best hockey analysis / broadcast company in the world, but don't have to pander to the idiots in Toronto (or Vancouver or Edmonton).

Gotta be a big pay increase. Must be some other caveat to the employment she had before to want to leave that. Maybe it wasn't totally a "full-time" gig or things were going to get scaled back. It doesn't make sense to make the switch for pay to be the same, especially since you're boxing yourself in from a big company to just one team.

I'd take Parenteau or Jagr back on a 1 year deal. But I would prefer if they could sign one more real defenceman and get rid of one of Lovejoy or Moore.

jagr would be desperate enough to come here and play for a bit before looking to get traded. If shero steps up his game we could probably get like a 5th for him at the deadline.

How many Trumpkin athletes go public with their support? I'm sure there are many who keep their opinions to themselves. Established athletes have less risk. Kurker hasn't gone pro yet.

Is Severson holding out or something? I guess it could be a good year for that given the status of the defence. Then again, if it is a throw away year in Ray's mind, he might be in for a tough negotiation.

Hockey is mostly redneck Canadians. And most american hockey players come from well off families in privileged neighborhoods so a more conservative mindset comes along with that.

Hockey just also has this socially progressive side which I would assume comes from the fact that a majority of the players come from Canada, Scandinavia, and the northeast US where that mindset is more common.
