I think the Brewers are done. Yelich is ice cold now and their starting pitchers aren’t good enough.

I don’t have a problem with the call. Betts was going to catch it. But if they ejected the fan for interference that’s garbage.

Yelich is cold but the “starting” pitching has been fine.

Game 1 was basically a combination of Gio + Woodruff and they outpitched Kershaw

Game 2 Miley outpitched Ryu. They lost because Counsell stuck with JJ way too long

Game 3 Chacin outpitched Beuhler

Game 4 Gio got hurt but him and Peralta combined were as good as Hill. Same amount of baserunners, runs, and Ks just in one less inning.

Game 5 Miley + Woodruff combined to match Kershaw until a tired bullpen blew it.

The series is 3-2 and was two bounces away from being a Brewers 4-0 sweep despite Yelicih and Aguilar being nonexistent. I don’t think they’re done at all. I still think they win the series in 7.

I do, because they're inconsistent with it. I've seen plays where that's NOT fan interference.

He totally could’ve caught it, but like the guys in studio after the game were saying, the ball would’ve hit that fan in the chest if he just stood there/didn’t try and catch it. It’s just crazy he ruled it fan interference right away. I think if they ruled it a HR it would’ve stood up

Probably would have

I just try to picture what would have happened if the fan wasn’t there. I don’t see any way that Betts wouldnt have caught it. That doesn’t put the fan in the wrong though so I hope he got to keep his seat.

No it’s not. They had a huge pinch hit opportunity with Chacin. I would have preferred Granderson to Schoop though.

Hader has to come in now. You can’t save a weapon for later. Buck Showalter did it with Britton a few years ago and lost his team a playoff spot.

Huge catch to end the 5th.

The Dodgers have to go to Kershaw for 3 here and then Jansen to try and shorten this game. Right?

Jeremy Jeffress has been a disaster literally every time he has stepped on the mound this postseason and they keep going back to him. The Phillies did the same thing with Mitch Williams in the 90s.

It’s incredible how stubborn and stupid managers can be. They’ll cite things like “postseason” and “game 7” as reasons for pulling starters after two innings and say how you can’t treat this like a regular season game but in the same breath, use players who were exclusively good in the regular season and trash in the postseason.

I don’t believe Kershaw is physically capable of pitching more than like 15-20 pitches. He threw 90 pitches less than three days ago.

Don’t know a ton about Bloom other than he’s been with the Rays since he was 21 (currently 35) and has been a big part of their analytics team in recent years. Seems to be a very highly-regarded young baseball mind. Watch the Mets hire Melvin instead who literally said a couple of years ago that GMing “is a young man’s job”
