Jest @ Jets

At least it worked out for the Oilers.

I never expect to beat Winnipeg away so I’m not even upset. Gotta win in Minnesota though.

Yeah, I never liked the Boyle signing..seemed like a line filler move as clearly all the kids playing well wasn’t expected. I didn’t expect the kids to play this well but I wanted them to play nonetheless.

Need Johansson back bad. He’s another bonafide top sixer and will hopefully bump Boyle off the powerplay.

I’ll believe it when I see it

He’s been excellent this year. Not sure I get the criticism of him either.

He’s had some great games but too many uncharacteristic stinkers. Not worried, but he needs to be excellent almost every night if they’re serious about contending for a playoff spot

Defense is barely playing defense. Almost always a forward retrieving the puck behind the net.. Almost always a forward the lone guy defending in front of the crease.

Defensive positioning is absolute trash.

He's been better this year than last but he lets in some of the dumbest goals. Also he's good for at least one fuck up playing the puck a game. I understand playing behind this defence is rough but that makes it more imperative that he doesnt let in bad goals.

It’s the combo of Boyle and Zajac. They’re the same player. Also get/keep both away from the PP and top 6.

Yeah Henrique is way too streaky to be a decent complementary scorer. When we were leaning on him as one of our better offensive options it was easier to stomach since he was playing with top players and getting better looks and thus putting up more numbers overall.

If that makes sense

Trading Henrique for a D will get you a Henrique grade D you know. I think that's something like a Moore...meaning bottom 6 type player as defensemen have way more value than a winger. I think it would be a Henrique & Severson type trade to get anything we'd actually want.

Just guessing

I’d consider Henrique a middle 6 winger and hope that would fetch middle pair defenseman if you threw in a sweetener. Thinking someone comparable to hjalmarsson.

Henrique plus picks and prospects could net us a decent DMan, especially considering how well Shero does in trades

I think his value around the league might be higher than we think tbh
