Hockey Talk and former pet rock discussions

Man, Paulie Martin has a year left on his deal after this year. Doubt there's much of a market for him.

Imagine having trash players like Stafford and Johansson and playing them on the PP over your 19 year old #1 overall pick who is 2nd on the team in points.

Also find it funny when you have one line that produces, REFUSE to split them up, and then take them away from each other with a man advantage.

The personnel choices this coach staff makes are pathetic

The only plug who should be on PP is Noesen because he's actually decent at cycling down low + causing shit in front of the net.

Here's how I'd run it:

PP 1:

Hall-Hischier-Bratt
Palmieri-Butcher

Wood-Zajac-Johansson
Zacha-Vatanen

We really need to get another top six centre.

Ron Banares.

Can someone tell Hynes we're not in the NBA and that we can't rest people for banter please? I understand we have a million players on the roster but that's no reason to put the shit ones in out of nowhere

like why the fuck are Lovejoy and Stafford in the lineup

Speaking of Hynes every year under his tenure we have hit a rough patch where things spiraled out of control.

This looks to be this case. That is bad in a coach

Gibbons - Coleman - Noesen has been our second best line relative to their expectations. Not sure why they were broken up originally.

Reminder that Seguin should have been the 1st overall pick in his draft year and Chiarelli managed to trade both him and the guy who did go 1st overall.

What a christ almighty stupid trade. Chiarelli is the worst GM in sport.

Blake Wheeler and Mark Stuart for Rich Peverley
Seguin for Loui and whatever
Taylor for Larsson
Reinhart for the pick that became Barzal
Strome for Eberle

Like think about that.

Hynes knows the season is falling apart and is gonna play the vets to try to save his job. He probably thinks he’s gone if we miss the playoffs. A lot of coaches who are on the hot seat do this.

He should be fired because he’s not a good coach. I pray that Ottawa blames Boucher for their downfall and cans him. We would have to be all over that.

This losing streak sucks but the season is a long way off from falling apart

We have games in hand on almost everybody. >rags and BJ’s are going through rough stretches too. But yeah they do need to put this streak six feet under ASAP. Like tomorrow for sure

They’ve routinely gotten their shit stuffed in this year too. The only difference is the offense is significantly better so we lose 5-4 and 4-3 instead of 5–2 and 4-1

Martin is worse than Mueller. Mueller was actually worth a couple of ok draft picks, and showed some shutdown ability which is sorely needed. Martin is just dog shit, would be the worst defender on this team by a country mile, and would shove another player down to the AHL.
