Dr. Doom's Chilis and Poops - Catnapping edition

At least it worked out for the Oilers.

That’s a hard club to hit well so you must be pretty good. I have a 58 degree wedge that I’ve basically parked. I plan to take a lesson with a pro on wedge play.

I'm wildly inconsistent. If I'm on, I'm low 90s high 80s. If I'm off... I shot a 107 earlier this year. My longer irons have not been very friendly for me this year, so if I'm not making shots off the tee, it's really difficult to catch back up on that hole.

That’s not bad if you’re a beginner. There are just so many moving parts in golf. You have to play a ton to get any good. Or take lessons of course.

I just do it for fun with my buddies. None of us take it seriously.

An honest 105 in your first year of seriously playing is nothing to sneeze at. Golf requires so much practice to become even halfway competent.

Dis me

I am trying to get better just because I think I can. I was always good at sports when I was younger and I want to be a consistent low-mid 90's player if possible.

Also I golf with my son half of the time. It's fun watching him improve. He can only hit a 7 iron right now but it's a start.

I used my 60 on my last round for shots when I needed height and a quick stop. It worked great for me too. I don't think I could use it more than 20 or 30 yards out though. I don't know if I could trust myself with the distance.

I played 9 yesterday and shot a 62, lol. Though, my first 2 holes were each 8 strokes. I need to warm up first. Should probably hit like 20 at the driving range before I play.

It was also my second time this year and second time in 2 years

Keep at it! I played on Thursday with my boy at our shit local course. Smashed a drive right down the middle to just before the green. Chipped on the green and 2 putted (greens are horrible so a 2 putt is excellent there) for par. It was all a struggle after that..lol

My local public course is a mess (it's for sale) and there really aren't any bunkers that are playable and the fairway ground is so fucking hard. Lots of trees line the fairways and there are a fair amount of water hazards as a few creeks go through the course which makes sense since it's called Chisel Creek. Anyway I played as well as I ever have today even if the score doesn't show it. I have a hard time hitting balls below level with my feet and it's hard as hell to chip there since the ground is so hard. That said here is my round today..

No, he's just implying that he wouldn't have won 20 titles or whatever he's at now, if he started playing five years later. Which is a dumb fucking thing to say. My man is still beating them dudes while being five years older than them, when he has no bidness beating them at his age. When you the GOAT, they always come for your crown with strawman arguments.
