Except for Sutter, the Pens sucked on faceoffs.

Why the fuck does Vitale continue to sit?

I want Iginla re-signed, despite him being underwhelming in certain aspects of his game (losing so many board battles, missing the net more than he should, and slower than usual due to overthinking). I think once he finds some legitimate chemistry he'll start playing more like the Iginla we know. He's still putting up plenty of points though. Dupuis should be re-signed too. Morrow hasn't done anything in the playoffs, so I wouldn't mind parting with him. Murray either, even though I've liked his play.

That's pretty much exactly what I had in mind. Idk what to do with Fleury at this point.

With TK and Fleury, we'd have to see what they do going forward in the playoffs, TK is easier to trade but he's also a guy that could rebound back pretty easily, Fleury on the other hand, he's had 4yrs of stinkers in the playoffs while being solid during the regular season, hard to really figure out what to do with him.

But yeah, TK is there because of his cap hit, I don't think the Pens can offer him anything lower because he's an RFA so he's kind of screwed, there is no way they sign him and then have the cap space to keep Dupuis and Iginla.

Glass would need to go maybe to keep TK, we'll see what Ray does.

Here's to our champion prospects: Harrington & Maatta (OHL Champs) and Pouliot (WHL Champ).

The London Knights faceoff against the Portland Winterhawks for the Memorial Cup tourney this next Monday.

They're still down 2-1. Guys that COULD help are in NCAA...so while the defense is stacked, unless they can score in bunches, that probably isn't going to help as much as we think, the rest of the way anyway.

Wilson, Archibald, Blueger, and maybe Rust...those guys could help. I wish DJ was eligible to play in the playoffs, he'd be a huge boost too.

Bucco City: Sounds like former 1st overall pick Gerrit Cole will debut on Tuesday against The Giants.

Now that we've been swept, here are changes I'd like to see this offseason:

Fix the goaltending controversy: Vokoun was steady for us, so I'd like him to stay, but something needs to be done with Fleury. I wouldn't buy him out, but definitely venture trading him (he still has quite a bit of value despite playoff shortcomings) in either the offseason or deadline next year if he can't rebound.

Defense: This defense is awful. Period. It's been this way for long enough. Clean this shit out. No more Engo. No more Niskanen. Preferably no more Orpik or even Murray. The free agency doesn't have shit for D-men this year so trade is our only option (or playing a ton of rookies which is risky).

Offense: I don't want Morrow back. Don't want Iginla back either if this is the Iginla that we'd see next year. We still have most of the right pieces at forward I think. Bennett should be full-timing on Malkin's line next year. Re-sign Dupuis and maybe Cooke. Venture trading Kennedy possibly. Not sure what forwards are on the market. Probably none much better than what we have.

Coaching: Can Bylsma and the rest of this staff. A team with this amount of talent should have made it to the finals, or at least performed well against the only true challenge they faced (Boston), and yet they barely slipped out of the opening round against the lowly Isles.
