So far, the Season series is 0-1-0

Possible Line-Up

Kunitz, Malkin, Iginla
Morrow, Jokinen, Dupuis
Cooke, Sutter, Kennedy
Glass, Vitale, Adams

Orpik, Niskanen
Murray, Eaton
Bortuzzo, Engelland

MAF/Vokoun

Time to get some payback against these two 'tards.

Geno loves playing against the Hurricanes, remember this?

One of the more underrated games of that playoff run, Geno takes over when it's 4-4...

LETS GO PENS!
Image

We desperately need Geno to have a break-out game from his slump this season, if he can get going this month, he'll be able to carry this into the playoffs in his Geno-like Beast mode.
Image

 • The last time they played, the Canes won 4-1 Feb 28th (the last loss before the Pens went perfect in March). Let's see if Juice can get some payback against his old team that waived him and then traded him, but hey they gave him a much much better team.
 • Jokinen - He had the best debut out of any of the recent additions so far, he scored in his 1st game and played hero in the shootout (his bread and butter)
 • MAF - He came up big after a game in which he was hung out to dry and beaten like a dirty rug by the Rangers and the Pens defense. Amazing game, likely won't get the start (he should), Bylsma might start Vokoun to get him back on his game.
 • Murray - How good has he been? The guy just crushes people. I love the deadline pick-ups this year.
 • Neal - No Update as of yet.
 • Letang - There is an outside chance he returns for this one. It would mark the 13th day out of his "7-10" days out.

LETANG TESTS TOE

Kris Letang looks fine, but looks might be deceiving.
Letang missed a fifth consecutive game for the Penguins on Friday night. He broke a toe March 26 in a home win over Montreal and has not played since.
The injury seemingly has healed — at least it has mended enough for Letang to experiment with stopping passes with his skate boots during an on-ice individual workout Friday morning.
Letang has been skating with Penguins strength and conditioning coach Mike Kadar, and his session Friday morning lasted about 45 minutes.
The original prognosis for Letang's recovery was a week to 10 days.
Letang also is dealing with a sore groin, an injury that caused him to miss three games from March 19-24.
The groin injury most concerns the Penguins. Letang's strength is his skating, and groins often do not fully heal without considerable rest.
Letang tested the groin Friday during drills designed to focus on his lateral movement while stick-handling the puck near the points. His skating during the workout mostly was limited to short bursts and quick starts and stops.

Letang, per club policy with injured players, was not available for comment.
Despite missing eight of nine games, Letang remains second among NHL defensemen with 28 points.

Neal Update

James Neal appeared to be temporarily knocked out by a hit from New York Rangers defenseman Michael Del Zotto, a Penguins teammate said Friday night.
Neal did not finish a 2-1 shootout win over the Rangers at Consol Energy Center after Del Zotto caught him with a backward forearm/elbow in the third period.
“It was a tough hit to watch,” right winger Pascal Dupuis said. “Especially when our guy seems knocked out on the ice.”

Players from both teams conceded the game turned heated after the Del Zotto hit.
Neal is second on the Penguins with 18 goals. He has played left wing on a line with center Evgeni Malkin since right winger Jarome Iginla was acquired.
Neal has no concussion history since joining the Penguins in a trade from Dallas in February 2011 or during his NHL career.
All hits — penalized or not — are reviewed by the NHL Department of Player Safety and subject to review and/or hearing for supplemental discipline.

Beau Bennett re-called, took longer than I thought, I thought it would have happened yesterday but yeah, he's up. I would love to see a Kunitz, Malkin, Iginla line and then roll with a Bennett, Jokinen, Dupuis 2nd line.

Let's hope Bylsma hasn't gone full retard just yet and knows that Iginla should be on the right wing.

Hoping for (fingers crossed)...

Kunitz, Malkin, Iginla
Bennett, Jokinen, Dupuis
Morrow, Sutter, Kennedy - Why? TK has more jump in his game as of late, it'd be better to see him jump start that line, I like Cooke but Morrow brings the physical stuff, too much is never a good thing on a line like this.
Cooke, Vitale, Adams

Lines in practice were:

Kunitz - Malkin - Iginla
Morrow - Jokinen - Dupuis
Cooke - Sutter - Kennedy
Glass - Adams - Bennett

Orpik - Eaton
Niskanen - Murray
Bortuzzo - Engelland
Letang - Despres

Really don't want to see Bennett on that 4th line. Also don't want to see Engo playing anymore. He's a 7th defenseman. There's no reason he should be playing above Despres. Thankfully when Martin and Letang are back he'll be gone out of the lineup.

If there is a counterpart to Adams, it's Engelland. He's Bylsma's favourite grinder for defensemen. He really should not be here after this season, honestly. Bortuzzo has out played him and should be a regular over him, that 3rd pairing should be Despres, Bortuzzo.

And yeah, I don't want Beau on that 4th line either, that's just...way too shitty for finishers to play on a line with. What it should be is this.

Kunitz, Malkin, Iginla
Morrow, Jokinen, Dupuis
Cooke, Sutter, Bennett
Glass, Adams, Kennedy

My two favorite guys Lacavalier/ St. Louis have a goal and assist.
Come on Ottawa!
My friend Daniel Alfredsson needs a hat trick.

Will prob catch most of Thursday's game at the gym.

Now that Sid has been out several games, I wonder who now leads the League in points?
Oh that's right it is still Crosby heh heh, also leading in assist and +/- not that +/- means a heck of a lot.

I still hope Sid is back next weekend against the Sabres to win the Art Ross & Hart.

He's been robbed of it a few times because of injuries.
