YOUR 2014-15 Columbus Blue Jackets

Post #1 by StingerThirdJersey » Mon Sep 22, 2014 8:38 pm

In is Scott Hartnell and some bottom 6 scrubs.

Out is RJ Umberger, possibly Ryan Johansen, and Nathan Horton's chances of ever being healthy in the city of Columbus.

The highest expectations ever are on this squad. Predicted by many outlets to finish 2nd in the division behind the Penguins, can the CBJ live up to their highest expectations yet?

I got my tickets for the season opener in BUFFALO. I couldn't get off for the Saturday at home, so I'll have to take some massive attendance points to call off most likely. But hey, I DID get the All-Star weekend off.

Heard from a pretty good source that Horton is done. His back condition can't be fixed and he's considering retirement.

The home opener is also my first 4am-12pm shift at the casino, so I won't have to call off after all!

Dubinsky, Horton, Murray, Jenner out. Johansen going to be taking a while to catch up.

If Bob doesn't play out of his mind, this season's going to be over by the end of the month.

A strange, memorable moment from 2005-06 season. #CBJ leaving practice rink, passing through a group of autograph-seekers behind stands ...

...when a woman thrusts her infant forward in Nash's face & says, loudly: "His name is Nasher!" Nash was understandably stunned, speechless

So, somewhere in this world, perhaps living in Columbus, there is a child (one or more) named Nasher.

Some of this Carter stuff on the internet makes me embarrassed to be a Jackets fan. I guess I'll always be untr00. :(

@Aportzline I thought this team was tough. No one stood up for Foligno. Boll, Tropp, Prout, Hartnell should be embarrassed.

Was the team supposed to fight the ref? Fucking moron.

Are they done?

Horton dropped another 60k at the casino a week or so ago. I hope he doesn't move back to Canada when he retires, because we'll miss his tips. :busky:

Yeah, they're cooked.

I bet Richards is the fall guy for this, which is too bad. I'm really starting to dislike the JD/Jarmo team.

Think we'll see some asset dumping this season then, eh?

I feel for the guy. Sure, he's an idiot but I'm not sure what his parents did can be attributed solely to ignorance.

24% loan? Yeesh.
