If the Cavs and the Indians can make it the the Finals ... nah, probably not.

Prout sent down?

What's that all about? I hadn't noticed a significant drop in play. But then again, I've basically been drunk since Christmas.

Everybody's healthy and there's no room for him. A testament to the blueline depth.

Given how bad the roads/drivers are, good call on staying drunk. I have to get pretty wasted just to drive to the store.

I'm not sure what the fuck happened to cause this (I'd argue Bob but he hasn't really stolen more than a game or 2 since he got back) or if this is sustainable but I sure am enjoying it.

The Jackets have 100 points (46-28-8) in their past 82 games, dating to last season

And we still might not be good enough to make the playoffs this year. :punchballs:

I told myself I was only going to watch the first period. Then I negotiated with myself, agreeing to stay up and watch the second. After the second, I couldn't rationalize missing the third - got to bed at 1:30 ...

Good stuff!

Called the office at 8:00 and told them I'd be in at 10:00.

We've waited thirteen years to see this.

Read something (Puck Daddy, maybe?) rumoring CBJ interest in Kesler. Wonder how that would go over, with Umberger ...

If Umberger couldn't put an old college feud aside, he'd turn into the type of player you'd pay to not play for you. I don't think Kesler would waive to come here because of Umberger though.

Somewhat Bold Prediction: Ryan Callahan is a Jacket by Wednesday.

Ohio's mighty Blue Jackets are on pace to make the playoffs. 17 points in 15 games all but guarantees a spot while even going just .500 probably is enough to get in.

I believe the CBJ could win a series against the Flyers or the Rangers. They would be lucky to win two games against either the Bruins or the Penguins. Even with MAF.

I'm seriously struggling with the concept that although these guys are playing at a level we haven't seen before, they're still outside and looking in ...

I think the Rangers are out of reach, even though the CBJ have two games in hand. Have to catch two of TO, Detroit and the Caps - and the CBJ have two in hand against WAS and TOR.

Yeah - that Carolina game is going to haunt them.

Surveying the weekend's carnage after a night's sleep, it doesn't look as dire as it did yesterday - as long as the Leafs continue to out-implode the CBJ. Of course, the Caps are still there, too ...

Blah.

Don't know about you, but I feel as though I've watched a lifetime of Detroit getting every call ... the too-many-men Game Four call, Shanahan shot in the face to get a whistle as the CBJ score the potential winner - only to see him back on the ice for the ensuing play after the goal was waived off, ...

Second only to Shittsburgh fans in gross per capita whining.

Ten games tonight, and the only one of significance is Montreal/Detroit.

Thinking about that Shanahan game still pisses me off - and that had to be 2001-2002 ...

Of course, that game in hand the CBJ now have against the Wings will end up being the eighth game played in nine nights or some such, for the CBJ.
