Well if your foot is the same size as your forearm, and your penis is half the size of your foot, it says a lot.

Subway sure gets slagged a lot around here.

They make good tuna subs. I used to have them regularly, but they're too fattening because of the mayonnaise or other extra ingredients they place into it.

To be fair beyond that I have found the franchise to be pretty terrible.

Every time I went there, I thought their bread was undercooked. Like eating meat and dough. I haven't been to one in a long time.

Hey, do you guys have a horse in this 2013 draft race? A lot of hoopla about Jones, but I pretty much don't give a shit as long as the Avs get a Top 5-6ish pick. They should get a good player, you know? Thoughts?

Jews mark their prices up.

I wouldn't go to Subway for anything but the tuna sub. And I haven't gone to it in at least a year in general, because I don't particularly care for all the added fats accompanying the tuna.

I know nothing about the prospects. Jones would be my choice simply based on reports and positional compatibility. Whether or not he's actually BPA I have no idea.

His pops played for the Nuggets, so realistically he's the best choice for the avs. ot only was he a fan, but is literally an 'in-house' pick.

We have all our picks this year so if someone slips then we have a shot with our 2nd rounder like the 2009 draft where we picked up both Duchene and O'Reilly despite O'Reilly supposedly being evaluated as a top-15 player by the scouts.

In the year where we picked up Landeskog the 2nd had been dealt to the Blues as part of the EJ trade where we upgraded it to a 1st (11th overall, Siemens after Brodin was selected one spot ahead :( ).

Unfortunately the 4th we picked up in the O'Byrne trade is deferred until 2014; maybe some dealings happen on draft day or before, but probably not.

Defensively here are the contracts on the books:
EJ
Barrie
Hejda
Wilson
Elliott
O'Brien
Zanon
Hunwick

Since it's the Kroenkes, Jones being bought out is extremely unlikely. Would they be willing to eat some dead weight in the blue line, given less years and money involved? If not, then there won't be too much trade interest in the players we want to dump off.

It's not exactly an incredible pool of free agents defensively, so perhaps they all return and we bide our time until 2014 or until an adequate trade partner is received. Maybe a swap of Stastny for someone in a similar boat (2014 UFA).

According to [s]Dater[/s] Friedman the Flames offered their 1st three picks (all 1st rounders) to us in return for our 1st overall, and we rejected it.

Yeah, noticed it (statistically) during the past season. He got signed to an ELC to no surprise.

So, does anyone know what the status is with Hishon? Is he still OK? The last thing I remember is reading about the therapy/treatment machine he used that he credited to helping him recover from the concussion symptoms, but I think he had a regression prior to that sometime, no?

We're still learning a lot about concussions, but from what I understand for most types of concussion you can heal completely and recurrence will have zero connection to previous bumps. However, even tiny bumps or scares can affect the brain in severe ways. People can get PTSD-like effects from the lightest trauma to the brain and/or psyche. There's a lot at stake with every brain injury, but most concussions can completely heal without chance for regression or reinjury. Only problem with young sports players is that it stunts their growth and makes them play less balls to the walls.

Hmm, that's good I guess. We're set for the top-3 scoring lines as it is barring a trade, which means he can prove himself in the AHL, and maybe be a call-up when needed (e.g. Downie).

I will say, though, that I have no interest in owning a fox. Their urine reportedly smells strongly, they are a bunch of hyper fucks that would be best suited for an acreage of wild life that I cannot afford, and I don't want that type of responsibility.

On the bright side I found a bunch of good fox pictures! I'm hot to trot them out but I will unveil their glory slowly.

A few years ago, I bought some fox piss at a local nursery - to spread around some of my plants in my yard, to keep the rabbits away. Never smelled the stuff myself.

Random datapoint:

Lee Versage (who covers the OHL) said on Ottawa radio today that Colorado had "a great draft". Aside from the franchise player at #1, he said Chris Bigras will be a big part of the team for a lot of years. And Spencer Martin will be the best goaltender in the OHL either next year or the year after.

Anyone have an idea on Bournival? If you recall he was traded to Montreal in return for O'Byrne. Bournival had poor seasons in Hamilton for the Canadiens' affiliate, but that doesn't necessarily mean much. Just wondering if this is a trade that we have any realistic shot at regretting or if it's similar to the Colby Cohen deal for Hunwick where Cohen fizzled out?

Not that it means much at this point beyond curiosity.

I agree with management that there are no forwards in the system worthy of Top 6 consideration. Hishon might be, but he's made of glass. I've never been a Downie fan, and have always felt that Avs fanboys overrate him terribly. Like Talbot, he's had a bunch of 10-15 goal seasons and one where he hit around 20. He's just OK. Like Talbot.

My bigger question is, if they were going to move a forward, why wouldn't they target a defenseman in return?

Don't really see the point of this trade, unless they tried to extend Downie, and he went O'Reilly on them in negotiations.

I think it's either that, or management wants the team to take fewer penalties, or there was something else in the dressing room/behind closed doors we just don't know about.

Downie has always been toxic in the locker room, going back to junior. I am not at all surprised by this trade.

So basically, if I remember correctly, this means the Avs gave up a 1st round pick for fucking Max Talbot. Brilliant.
